  • This position maintains the database by entering new and updating the customer (or vendor) records and related data. This individual assists in analyzing account and contact data to reduce duplicate records, resolve incorrect data and ensure records are maintained timely and accurately. The main objective of this role is to maintain accurate and clean data. This position is responsible for monitoring/auditing the data quality of vendors (and / or customers) across business segments and lines of site, regardless of the software application, and standardizing data elements within the Data Hub.

  • Data elements may be associated to vendor and / or customer entities, but are not limited to these domains.

  • Working closely with the data governance team, this position will assist in enforcing data governance policies and processes to ensure the proper usability, quality and integrity of the data.

  • The position interfaces with IT and business data owners to ensure that the technical structure and organization of data is aligned with business needs, analyzes and scrubs enterprise data, and ensures the ongoing compliance of data management rules within the enterprise.

  • Enters customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information into the system. Ensure party (customer, vendor or contact) information is correct; clean up and remove inaccurate information. Verifies entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data.

  • Processes customer (or vendor) source documents and files per operating procedures.

  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for data accuracy and integrity and making sure that all requests are completed within 24 hours during the regular business working hours.

  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

  • External Customers / Vendors Daily Verify and confirm existing customer / vendor data

  • Internal Customers (various departments) Daily Maintain / enter customer and vendor data along with related information

The UHealth Patient Safety & Quality team is seeking a Quality Management Analyst 1 (Quality Data Abstractor ). The position is responsible for accurately abstracting and validating prescribed data elements from the medical records. Assures compliance of registry rules and regulations according to Society of Thoracic Surgeons National Database (ACS, CABG, VALVE) and National Cardiovascular Data Registry. Works as a team member to meet departmental responsibilities, goals and state and national reporting goals. JOB FUNCTIONS * Screen and carefully review charts and other sources to identify eligible cases for abstracting. * Identify, review and abstract inpatient and outpatient medical records with established eligibility criteria. * Enter abstracted data into STS electronic database. Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of data entered. * Follow-up with physicians, healthcare providers, patient or other reliable resources for clarification of missing and/or incomplete information. * Assist with follow-up and tracking of patients to determine current health status/outcome of eligible patients. * Update STS Registry database with follow-up information. * Work closely with Data and Analytic Team and Cardiovascular Service Line Team to submit data, reports, and complete required responsibilities for assigned cardiovascular registry. * Prepare comprehensive documentation to support all related activities. * Review and correct registry data edits and errors for complete and accurate data. * Work as a team member to meet departmental goals and state and national reporting goals. The position requires a minimum of Associates Degree. RN License is preferred. Minimum one year of Society of Thoracic Surgeons National Database Registry experience, focused on data abstraction and validation for CABG or VALVE. Preference given for additional experience working with cardiovascular registries. Required knowledge of the National Cardiovascular Data Registry and medical /disease registry data. Required experience supporting clinical quality or process improvement initiatives in a hospital or clinical setting. Advanced proficiency with creating complex and advanced formulas in Excel, such as v-look up, Excel Pivot tables, and conditional formatting. Knowledge of healthcare quality and outcomes measurement and reporting. Experience using electronic medical records. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of cardiovascular related diseases.
