This position maintains the database by entering new and updating the customer (or vendor) records and related data. This individual assists in analyzing account and contact data to reduce duplicate records, resolve incorrect data and ensure records are maintained timely and accurately. The main objective of this role is to maintain accurate and clean data. This position is responsible for monitoring/auditing the data quality of vendors (and / or customers) across business segments and lines of site, regardless of the software application, and standardizing data elements within the Data Hub.
Data elements may be associated to vendor and / or customer entities, but are not limited to these domains.
Working closely with the data governance team, this position will assist in enforcing data governance policies and processes to ensure the proper usability, quality and integrity of the data.
The position interfaces with IT and business data owners to ensure that the technical structure and organization of data is aligned with business needs, analyzes and scrubs enterprise data, and ensures the ongoing compliance of data management rules within the enterprise.
Enters customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information into the system. Ensure party (customer, vendor or contact) information is correct; clean up and remove inaccurate information. Verifies entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data.
Processes customer (or vendor) source documents and files per operating procedures.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures.
Responsible for data accuracy and integrity and making sure that all requests are completed within 24 hours during the regular business working hours.
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
External Customers / Vendors Daily Verify and confirm existing customer / vendor data
Internal Customers (various departments) Daily Maintain / enter customer and vendor data along with related information
