We are seeking a Sr. Cyber Security Cloud Firewall Engineer for our ECS Group in Dallas, TX.

The Sr. Cyber Security Engineer will be the primary individual responsible for working on clients cloud networks, providing security architecture recommendations, supporting implementations of security solutions, and providing remote operational support for Fujitsu's Managed Security customers. The Sr. Cyber Security Engineer also plays a key role in the daily processing of Work Orders, Change Requests, Incident Handling and Investigations for operational systems, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Primary Duties:

  • Analyze Cloud firewall policies and configurations; identify/implement needed Cloud firewall policy changes.

  • Review aged Cloud firewall rules and act based on business needs.

  • Identify Cloud firewall rule ownership and work with Cyber team to determine next steps.

  • Ensure compliance with departmental and cloud security configuration standards.

  • Create and/or maintain standards documentation, design documentation/templates/topology diagrams and workflow documents.

  • Provide direct support of audit and ad-hoc consulting engagements.

  • Lead implementation projects to ensure successful delivery of security services.

  • Conduct cloud technical implementations and/or attend remote customer meetings, as required.

  • Provide Level 2 - 3 support to existing customers with deployments in Cloud's managed by Fujitsu.

  • Research, design, and oversee implementation of cloud technology, systems, and policies for information security in support of business needs and requirements.

  • Perform resolution of security related Work Orders, Change Requests and Incidents as well as participating in root cause analysis and/or major incident/problem management conference calls

  • Leverage existing and/or future cloud security centric tools to perform day to day tasks, audits, documentation, and mitigation/resolution of issues or incidents for all Fujitsu Managed Security Services clients

  • Participate in an on-call rotation that provides 7x24 support and response to P-1 and P-2 level incidents

  • Occasionally provide security architecture recommendations and consulting for pre and post-sales support of customer environments.

  • Primary responsibilities include performing project-based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of cloud security solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership on complex projects requiring teams of engineers.

  • Develop comprehensive graphical and text-based design documentation, and effectively manage the implementation process from design to customer acceptance.

  • Assist with creating SOPs, and other relevant information to assist other Engineering team members and Operations with log management and other monitoring analysis activities.

  • Assist with the design, and implementation of interconnectivity of IaaS infrastructures whether from Public Cloud providers such as AWS or MS Azure, or Private Cloud implementations.

  • Plan and execute cloud security projects.

  • Design security solutions to address known cloud security vulnerabilities.

  • Evaluate cloud network architectures and designs security for improvements.

  • Perform related or similar duties as required or assigned.

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Strong knowledge in Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco or Palo Alto Cloud

  • Experience with FireMon Security Manager, Policy Optimizer.

  • A strong knowledge of change management best-practices.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills due to the need to communicate extensively with team members and LOB contacts.

  • A bias toward action, along with an internal drive for continuous improvement.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)

  • Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate

  • Microsoft Azure Administrator

  • Microsoft Azure Architect Design

  • CCSE (Check Point Certified Security Expert) Certification (required)

  • CCSM (Check Point Security Master) Certification (preferred)

  • CISSP or CISM certification (preferred)

  • PCNSE7 (required)

  • 10 years of experience in technical leadership of IT projects involving network security or 5 years of experience supporting a large enterprise network infrastructure.

  • 10 years operational experience with firewall technologies

  • 2 years operational experience with cloud firewall technologies

  • 5 years' experience with Checkpoint firewalls and IPS

  • 5 years' experience with Palo Alto firewalls and IPS (preferred)

  • 5 years' experience with FireMon Security Mgr. (preferred)

  • 3 years' experience with Fortinet firewalls and IPS (preferred)

  • 2 years' experience with Cisco Sourcefire firewalls (preferred)

  • Cisco Security Certification or equivalent experience (required)

  • CISA or GIAC Certification (preferred)

  • Experience working in an ITIL-modeled IT environment
