Position Description:

Under the supervision of the Customer Sales & Service (CS&S) Supervisor or Manager, this Sr. Customer Sales & Service Representative (CSSR) is accountable to provide direct customer service to their assigned customers to facilitate the overall business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The key role of the CSSR is to manage day-to-day account activities and to act as the liaison between the business and its customers.

  • The primary accountability is to deliver value added services resulting in the highest level of customer satisfaction, thereby creating sustainable competitive advantage in the marketplace.

  • This position requires little or no supervision and independent action and initiative within assigned areas of responsibility while managing multiple customers, customer locations, and plant locations.

Major Activities/Key Challenges:

  • Manage the customer booking process and service assigned accounts on a day-to-day basis, including, but not limited to purchasing metal, bookings and non-standard order entry, scheduling, pricing, status updates, expediting, releasing shipments, claims resolution, and partnering with others to eliminate barriers that may interfere with on-time delivery to our customers;

  • Establish and/or enhance positive customer relationships;

  • Work with Marketing and or Outside Sales on quotations for customers encompassing new business and changes in existing business

  • Collaborate with Account Managers (Field Sales) to develop new business opportunities;

  • Work closely with support staff, providing guidance regarding the customer order cycle process.

Comments:

  • The position may require travel, up to 25% of the time.

  • This position may require evenings and/or weekend work schedules

  • This position is located in Davenport, IA.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates degree from an accredited institution;

  • Minimum of 3-years' experience in sales/customer service;

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;

  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution;

  • Experience working with Oracle;

  • Experience using multiple computer systems;

  • Experience analyzing large sets of data.

Major Activities/Key Challenges: * Manage the customer booking process and servicing the assigned account on a day-to-day basis, including, but not limited to metal buying, bookings, nonstandard order entry, scheduling, pricing, status checks, expediting, releases, shipment, claim resolution, and resolving of related problems involving the plant, marketing, and credit; * Establish and/or enhance positive customer relationships; * Work closely with Forecast Analyst Team to synthesize customer demand. * Liaise with Supply Chain Management at various Arconic plants to ensure material is available to the end customer at the warehouse when needed. * Working in conjunction with Supply Chain Management, provide communication to end customer through delivery of critical shipments, (occasionally after hours) as needed. * Establish and/or enhancing effective relationships with customer contacts; * Create quality documents and translate customer requirements and specifications; * Prepare written quotations using inside selling techniques to quote pricing; * Involved and in cooperation with Outside Sales, in developing new business opportunities; * Work closely with support staff providing guidance regarding the customer order cycle process.
