The position of Sr. Credit Analyst ("SR.
CA") is a member of a Credit Delivery Team (CDT) which includes Loan Officers ("LOs"), Credit Analysts ("CA ") and Loan Coordinators ("LCs"). The SR.
CA is responsible for gathering and analyzing complex credit information on current and potential borrowers; determines the advisability of granting credit for diversified types of loans; and prepares credit presentations. This position is jointly responsible, with the LO, for effectively interacting with clients and prospects to enhance their relationship with the Bank.
This role is a key player, collaborating and generating solutions to current and prospective clients. The SR.
CA has knowledge of lending concepts, practices, and procedures and of the various government loan programs.
This role oversees ongoing monitoring of client portfolio performance to maximize penetration and return. SR.
CA works under progressively limited supervision. This position must have previous agriculture related experience.
1.Assists in gathering data from customers and prospects, internal and external sources, prepares spreadsheets and analyzes financial information including financial statements and tax returns; Assists when necessary in contacting LOs, customers, prospects and CPAs directly to request additional information and clarification of data.
2.Prepares Credit Presentations for new and existing clients in a timely manner
3.Assures that all duties are performed in accordance with banking compliance regulations, processes, and procedures. Works with other areas in the bank to ensure integrated compliance where necessary.
4.Responsible for monitoring covenants of clients within assigned portfolio to identify deteriorating credit conditions and compliance with loan agreements. Assists Loan Officer in documenting covenant violations and approval of covenant violation waivers (if requested).
5.Performs pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests.
6.Communicates with appropriate agencies for processing and servicing specialized program loans when necessary.
7.Participates in weekly CDT meetings.
8.Provides recommendations on loan structures and terms.
9.Develops knowledge of governmental guaranty and other loan programs.
10. Provides LOs with research on prospective clients and industries utilizing various information sources.
11. Protects the Bank's assets and maintains quality of portfolio by adhering to lending processes, policies & procedures, compliance, legal and ethical requirements and regulations, audit requirements and established risk management guidelines. Ensures that all commercial / Ag. relationships are in conformity with Bank policies and other guidelines.
12. Develops knowledge of various industries, economy, market conditions, interest rates, participating banks and competition.
13. Completes projects as requested by the Credit Manager.
14. May represent the Bank in various community, civic and community reinvestment functions to further enhance the Bank's image.
15. Operates computer terminal or personal computer to obtain and process data.
16. Answers telephones, answers questions and directs callers to proper Bank personnel.
Under the direction of the Credit Manager the Sr. CA assists in the development of CAs in the department through knowledge and experience with complex situations or specialized programs. May be involved in the training of CAs.

Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university in Agribusiness, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field, and 3-5 years of work-related experience in financial analysis, credit analysis, accounting, business banking, and/or lending; Associates degree with 4 years of work-related experience or High School Deploma with 5 years of work-related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with various software applications and general office equipment. PC, phone system, general office
Ability to formulate and execute basic to complex mathematical formulas to perform analytical analysis or financial analysis that supports decision making or other action.
