Job Location: Hershey, PA
The Hershey Company is seeking a Senior Counsel to join the Legal Department's U.S. Commercial team, which supports the company's U.S. Marketing and Sales teams and its Global Licensing and Retail business segments. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience and substantial commercial and contracts experience in one or more of the following areas: marketing, advertising, sales, antitrust, manufacturing, digital commerce, media and licensing.
The Senior Counsel will be expected to forge substantive relationships with multiple business teams and
collaborate with other members of the Legal Department on regulatory, intellectual property, supply chain, compliance and data privacy issues and M&A activities.
U.S. Commercial and Contracting Support
Provide legal advice and solutions on a wide range of U.S. commercial matters
Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts
Field client questions escalated by U.S. commercial paralegals
Participate in U.S. business team and function meetings, as needed
Self-Service Support and Training
Develop policies, guidelines, templates, training and other self-service tools for clients
Train clients on specific commercial issues, as needed
Interaction and management of outside counsel engaged on Hershey legal matters
Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor (J.D.) from accredited law school required.
Master's in Business Administration (M.B.A.) is preferred.
Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania or the ability to obtain a limited corporate counsel license in Pennsylvania
Minimum 5 years of experience, with a preference for successful experience working in-house and/or a well-regarded law firm.
Experience with the consumer-packaged goods industry is preferred.
Substantial experience with commercial transactions.
Experience in one or more of the following areas preferred: marketing, advertising, sales, antitrust, supply chain, digital commerce, media and licensing
