Why We Want You

Canvas is looking for a Senior Cost Analyst to support our Cruise Missile Defense System customer in Huntsville, AL. This individual will plan, coordinate, and conduct independent cost analysis for customer products. Individual will ensure technical appropriateness, soundness, and accuracy of cost and budget. Must have ACE-IT experience.

What You Do

  • Perform the calculation and forecasting of the future costs of systems, projects/programs, resources, to support independent studies, funding decisions, and various management reviews (e.g., milestone reviews, budget reviews).

  • Create and maintain lifecycle cost estimates in ACE-IT as required by DASA-CE.

  • Perform the planning and development of controls and provide expert technical analyses, budgetary advice, and guidance regarding the development and implementation of resource allocations and plans in order to defend budget activities.

  • Conduct analysis and provide recommendations by applying expert knowledge of a broad range of cost analysis strategies to include mathematics, statistical analysis, parametric and non-parametric analysis, computer modeling, regression analysis, and economic analysis.

  • Coordinate with PEO on Program Office Estimates, APBs, and other Milestone review documentation.

  • Create documents and briefing charts that communicate current status and forecast on program with regard to cost.

What You Bring

  • Must have ACE-IT experience

  • Capable of leading and executing analytical task, utilizing both analytical techniques, and processes for complex developmental and operational programs.

  • Extensive Knowledge, skills, and abilities in the analysis field.

  • Capable of leading the development and utilization of analytic tools, techniques, and processes for both technical and administrative support activities.

  • Capable of working independently or leading teams to solve problems.

  • Capable of providing daily supervision and direction to support teams.

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • 12 years of highly-relevant industry and/or military experience

  • Active secret clearance required.

Duties and Responsibilities * Provides expert analytical and/or scientific solutions for highly complex technical/scientific matters. * May analyze program activities, such as acquisition or program planning, program "should cost" analyses, financial management, cost analysis, and other tasks related to Government programs, weapon and missile systems, or similar complex programs. * May analyze and format information developed and used to evaluate a Government program/weapon system/ similar complex program. * May develop, plan, coordinate and integrate systems-related requirements to support operational needs. May develop, gather, and organize program-related information. * Contributes subject matter expertise and advice to the customer at a level that is typically attained via a related technical education. Requirements * Must hold an active Secret Security Clearance * Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or a related field required. * ICEAA Certification preferred. * Must have a minimum of 20 years recent related experience. * Position requires experience applying cost estimating, cost modeling, cost analysis, program analysis, program management, scheduling, and related cost, schedule, and technical analysis. * Experience with the ACEIT model is a plus. * Must be able to work in a fast paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines * Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required. * Must be able to work independently, unsupervised, or within a group.
