Responsible for all financial information which is necessary for understanding product costing, period results, profitability trends, budget variances, and any other operations performance at the Calhoun Site by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Independently forecast and develop financial data to facilitate rapid analysis, decision support and problem resolutionrelated to plant operations.
Manage all budgets and forecasts related to the Calhoun Site direct charges and R&D cost centers.
Develop and understand weekly and period end KPIs and manufacturing performance analysis.
Achieve team integration and become a valued resource for internal customers by driving business changes through analyses on profitability, product costing and warehousing, etc.
Develop annual production and departmental budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Improve actual performance reporting against those goals or targets.
Drives the period end closing process.
Demonstrated experience in effective presentation skills.
Analyze and understand cost/profit relationship at product level for Sales Site plants.
Perform all assigned general ledger account analysis and reconciliations.
Coordinate and manage all physical inventories and test counts.
Prepare all inventory reports related to the Calhoun Site plants and manage reconciliation to general ledger.
Develop costing for all skus produced at the Calhoun Site.
Ability to work extended hours during selected critical time periods, e.g. period closing, budgets, year end

Education and/or Experience
Position requires a bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
A Masters of Accountancy or MBA is preferred.
Minimum of three to five years progressive financial experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically cost accounting.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Professional development and delivery of presentations to both small and large groups and to your team.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel; Outlook; Word, and PowerPoint); Proven experience with SAP costing module; and a strong user of PC based analytical tools, e.g. spreadsheets, financial modeling, TM1 & BI tool.
