Description: PRIMARY FUNCTION
The C3 Sr. Technician is responsible for leveraging established procedures to identify, analyze, and support all incidents that are either impactful or potentially impactful to business, team members, guests, community and/or the brand. This position is responsible for using best practices for communicating information surrounding those incidents to both HQ and field partners as appropriate. The C3 Sr. Technician supports HQ and field teams as they prepare for, respond to, and recover from both crisis and non-crisis incidents.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leader on Duty (LOD): Serves as the primary C3 Sr. Technician responsible for watch floor daily operations. The LOD will assist the C3 Headquarters Incident Leader (HQIL) in ensuring the watch floor is operating efficiently. This responsibility is rotated among C3 Senior Technicians based on work schedules. The C3 Senior Technician is also responsible for other duties as assigned.
Incident and Crisis Management: The C3 Sr. Technician works collaboratively with C3 Leadership, the Global Crisis Management team, and the Green team to prepare for, respond to, and recovery from all incidents and crisis events that may impact Target domestically and internationally.
Information Collection and Management: The C3 Sr. Technician uses multiple internal and external resources to gather and manage information and intelligence about events that are occurring both domestically and internationally that may impact Target and its team members.
Analysis and Fusion: The C3 Sr. Technician analyzes and fuses all-source information that is collected and makes initial decisions on escalation by using pre-established best practices.
Communication and Dissemination: The C3 Sr. Technician communicates and disseminates information, using established communication vehicles, to key partners using best practices.
Project Management: The C3 Sr. Technician takes an active role in position related projects. The levels of responsibility will vary from consulting to owning projects based on the individual.
Operational Readiness: The C3 Sr. Technician will ensure operational readiness & self development through audits, planning, training, education & exercising as well as be assessed on their ability to execute their core roles as they relate to incident and crisis management.
Resource for Others: The C3 Sr. Technician serves as a resource and technical support to leaders and the Green team. Troubleshooting and researching questions from Leadership and the Green Team, communicating issue progress and resolution are a regular activity, as this position is viewed as a subject matter expert for key partners.
This position will report directly to the Sr. Corporate Security Manager in C3. These team members will also interact with the Global Crisis Management team, Target's Crisis Green Team, Corporate Security, various levels of both HQ and field leadership, and other key business partners.
2 year degree or comparable work experience.
Above average computer hardware and software knowledge.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Able to work with confidential information.
Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership.
Willingness to work a rotating schedule to include days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays and during non-business hours when required.
