Position Summary

We are a growing consulting firm in need of a reliable and talented Sr. Business Continuity Specialist. Your work as Sr. Business Continuity Specialist will make a real difference as you support our high-profile client located in Silicon Valley with various tasks, including maintaining and maturing the business continuity program. Edged between tactical and strategic, this integral role will assist with the implementation of a world-class business continuity program. Your work will directly impact our ability to improve resiliency and protect the company's people, assets and reputation.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience supporting activities related to will play an integral part of the resiliency team, partnering with leaders throughout the organization. This is a mid-to senior level role that directly supports the Global Business Continuity Manager. This role requires a good understanding of adaptive business continuity planning strategy and business operations, especially in an information technology organization. We are looking for a self-motivated, responsible and confident individual with a commitment to integrity and the ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with minimal supervision. Essential Functions

The candidate will perform the following essential functions:

  • Work closely with the Global Business Continuity Manager to develop and implement a transformative world-class business continuity program

  • Work with team to implement program policy, guidelines, methodology, for developing cross-functional teams' business continuity plans

  • Provide input, and manage content on the Business Continuity SharePoint and Intranet sites

  • Facilitate collaboration with cross functional teams and ability to influence informally across different teams

  • Support the team to develop and participate in presentations of business continuity information to stakeholders of all levels

  • Assist in the development and conduct of business continuity training and exercises

  • Track and report teams' compliance with business continuity guidelines

  • Provide the team with professional, specialized skills, including business continuity, planning, project management, problem analysis/resolution and strategic planning.

  • Work with the team to define policies, parameters, methods, and tools for business continuity that are required across all operating businesses.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

The candidate should possess the following:

  • Strong experience driving cross-organizational projects to resolution

  • Ability to work well in cross-organizational and cross-functional teams

  • Strong Project and Process Management experience

  • Familiarity with tableau and any business continuity tools

  • Experience with Knowledge base and collaborative tools such as: Confluence and SharePoint

  • Ability to communicate effectively and adapt quickly

  • Experience working with a large global company

  • Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills combined with strong business acumen and technical ability

Education and Experience Requirements

The candidate must possess the following education and experience requirements:

  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Emergency Management/Business Continuity or similar fields; or equivalent practical experience

  • Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of experience in a business continuity

Your Responsibilities: The Retina Sales Specialist (RSS) is accountable for implementing and executing the Retina product(s) sales strategies and owning and managing the relationship with assigned retina accounts in order to appropriately educate, promote and sell Retina products by keeping customers up to date with the latest information and educating customers on the clinical efficacy and safety information of assigned products. The Retina Sales Specialist will conduct total office calls including providing samples, vouchers, educational and promotional resources and support for marketing channel campaigns while adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and Novartis policies. The RSS will execute these activities in their assigned territories with engagements with appropriate Health Care Providers (HCP's) and the office staff personnel. The Retina Sales Specialist will be responsible for educating the physician(s) and staff on retina product treatments, administration and adherence management to minimize any potential barriers affecting adoption of retina products in a compliant manner. The RSS will be accountable for maintaining relationships with practice management, as appropriate. The Retina Sales Specialist will; * Serves as an expert on the on-label clinical data and information for the assigned product portfolio * Builds and develops professional relationships with (but not limited to) key providers, including Retina Specialists, practice management stakeholders and office staff within assigned territory and target list * Drives appropriate sales and utilization of approved products * Works closely with offices to ensure access to sample ordering, copay assistance for eligible patients with commercial insurance * Leverages expertise and knowledge of the marketplace, disease state, buy and bill reimbursement pathway, applicable competitors, industry and cross-functional activities/plans to anticipate and effectively manage and capitalize on business opportunities and address & overcome challenges * Provides relevant, thoughtful input to other commercial colleagues (e.g. field-based roles within the franchise) in regards to strategic and tactical planning for accounts within the assigned territory, area, and region * Develops and implements effective customer specific territory plans.
