PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Administer corporate contributions and corporate citizenship related programs for PECO, An Exelon Company, including grants and in-kind gifts, grant-related benefits, and officer/employee participation in community events. ; Serve as the principal liaison to non-profit organizations requesting or receiving support. ; Manage the annual United Way campaign.

Note: Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24x7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage the contributions budget. ; Administer and process requests for contributions, including serving as contact for non-profit organizations interacting with EED East business units.

  • Conduct site visits or other research for organizations seeking support, build community relationships and ensure compliance with grant criteria and grant-making strategy.

  • Administer benefits of contributions activities to include ticket distribution and attendance at civic events, as well as other public relations functions such as the Crown Lights Message System.

  • Represent senior EED management at various community events and programs. ; Chair the regional corporate contributions review committee to discuss grant requests in excess of $5, 000.

  • Consult with corporate contributions recipients and internal media relations to ensure maximum exposure and acknowledgement for CR initiatives.

  • Monitor and evaluate contributions initiatives and generate reports on contributions activity to senior management.

  • Manage the Exelon East United Way Campaign for employees and annuitants including pledge form process, and campaign events at various business unit sites.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum:

  • Bachelors degree in public relations, marketing, or related discipline and 5-8 years related experience in community relations, sponsorship administration or corporate contributions, OR in lieu of a Bachelors degree, a minimum of 9-12 years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work in a team environment as well as working independently.

  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust and work effectively with internal and external customers.

  • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries.

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and also to work in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and effectively monitor a budget of several million dollars.

  • Excellent project management skills required.

  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft applications, including MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and GIFTS software.

  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends.

  • Manage contributions budget, including in-kind donations. Responsible for allocating grants of up to $5, 000, together with the Corporate Relations Manager; consult on decisions over $5, 000.

  • Consult with senior management on participation in community events (fund-raising lunches, dinners, conferences, etc. ).

  • Manage all contributions relationships for maximum visibility, with special emphasis on nonprofit partners receiving annual grants of $20K .

  • With manager, develop contributions-related policy statements and prepare reports on company contributions activities.

We pursue our mission through a nationwide network of partners involved in a cutting-edge civic health initiative, our cross-sector conferences and engagement with a broad spectrum of individuals and organizations interested in utilizing civic engagement principles and practices to enhance their work.  Connecting people for the purpose of strengthening civic life is our goal. <br />  <br /> NCoC believes everyone has the power to make a difference in how their community and country thrive.  Congress chartered NCoC in 1953 to incubate, evaluate, and increase active citizenship. By convening and partnering with nonprofit, foundation, government, and corporate decision-makers on the national, state, and community level, NCoC explores, discovers, and shares what matters most in shaping modern civic engagement.<br />  <br /> NCoC’s annual budget is approximately $1.2 million, funded primarily through its endowment assets.
