Project Specific Job Description:

The Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Supervisor and Manager with projects that are assigned. Must be able to work shift 11:00am-8:00pm (M-F) and rotation of Saturdays (1 every 6 weeks).

  • Liaison with building management on all facilities, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, maintenance and parking related issues to ensure appropriate follow-up to employee requests

  • Assists with internal moves, office space adjustments, and new hire seating

  • Facilitates office build out projects

  • Ensure and oversee the appropriate response to all emergencies and crisis situations

  • Researches issues, recommends preventative measures and participates in the development of changes

  • Work with supply vendors to ensure supplies are delivered timely

  • Ensure employee common areas, including copy rooms and break areas are fully stocked and organized

  • Responsible for equipment and material inventory and storage, to include furniture, technical equipment, and office supplies

  • Responsible for adhering to established safety standards

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time

  • Occasionally lifts, carries, or otherwise moves items weighing up to 25 pounds

  • Work is constantly performed in an office environment

  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by management

Education & Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma, GED required

  • Associate's Degree preferred

  • 3 years of experience

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline oriented work environment

  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of all information

  • Ability to comply with current and updated policies and procedures

  • Ability to interact courteously and effectively with a diverse population

  • Ability to work out of various buildings

  • High School Diploma with 4+ years of experience, or Associates degree with 2+ years experience.

  • May have additional training or education in area of specialization.

  • Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgement in resolving issues.

  • Understands implications or work and makes recommendations for solutions.

  • Communicates on complex or sensitive issues or draft such responses for supervisor or team lead.

VIEW JOBS 11/14/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-12T00:00 Opening Full Time 40 hours Grade 055 Urology M&D Schedule 8 AM-5 PM; OCC WKENDS Responsibilities Position Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Research and Department Administrator, with considerable latitude to exercise independent judgment, the Sr. Human Subject Research Coordinator will manage and oversee the Clinical Trials group in the Department of Urology at the senior professional level. This individual will serve as a member of the Research Advisory Board within the department. This individual will supervise and train the clinical research coordinators, act as a liaison to the Wilmot Cancer Center on collaborating projects, and provide start-up activities for sponsored and investigator-initiated studies. This person will be expected to function independently on a daily basis. Responsibilities: * Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Trials group, provides professional direction as it relates to study objectives and departmental goals. * Directly supervise the research staff. Responsible for assigning studies, completing annual reviews, administering corrective action, meets with staff regarding professional development, and serves as back-up to study coordinators as needed. Conducts regular staff meetings. Assigns and manages personnel percent effort. * Trains and mentors study coordinators of various levels on their study activities, as well as investigators regarding activities associated with conducting human subject research specific to study protocols and in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCPs) guidelines and sponsor requirements. * Creates a Research Advisory Board within the department for review of all new studies in conjunction with the Sr. Health Project Coordinator, serves as a regular board member by offering pertinent information regarding protocol, study logistics, and clinical operations as it relates to a determination of study feasibility. Reviews the feasibility assessment form that accompanies protocol submissions. Prepares agenda items and takes meeting minutes, disseminates information to board members, communicates and assists investigators with protocol development. * Performs study start-up activities for complex sponsored and investigator-initiated studies requiring a higher level of expertise, assists investigator with developing the protocol, develops consent forms, completes regulatory paperwork. * Prepares new study submissions to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and internal peer review committees including RSRB, WIRB, Central IRBs, Wilmot Cancer Center, Institutional Biosafety Committee, as well as the Pathology Department and Investigational Drug Service within the University. Prepares reports to regulatory agencies such as FDA, including IND applications. * Assists grants administrator with budget development for various research studies, interacts with the Research Compliance Office. * Oversees pre-study, site qualification, study initiation, sponsor monitoring visits, and OHSP-QI audit meetings. * Creates and documents departmental policies related to clinical research. Develops, documents, and implements Standard Operating Procedures for the Clinical Trials group, ensures adherence to established SOPs. * Manages and oversees the internal audit program, assigns study coordinator review, evaluates results, and ensures query resolution. * Meets regularly with the Director of Clinical Research to ensure study progress, staffing, new study reviews, and research operations within the Department. Meets with the Department Administrator, study investigators, sponsors, administrative staff, ambulatory clinical staff, and represents the Clinical Trials group at various meetings. Attends Leadership meetings. Serves as the point person for research in the Urology Department. * Perform subject screening and recruitment via eRecord, obtain consent, conduct study visits, accurately complete CRF and source documentation, enter data into various database websites, collect and process specimens, conduct quality assurance activities. * Works to procure new clinical trials from sponsors or through private donations. * Maintains a working knowledge of area of expertise by attending pertinent meetings, seminars, webinars (OHSP, RSRB, SCORE, FDA, NIH, etc.) and reviews research literature. * Keeps current with all federal, state, sponsor and institutional policies and laws, SOPs and guidelines, industry standards, best practices, and trends in therapeutic areas relevant to research studies and designs, implements and monitors resulting study changes. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in human subject research coordination; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. * Professional Research Coordinator Certification (i.e., SOCRA, ACRP) preferred. Experience as a Human Subject Research Coordinator II preferred. Phlebotomy experience a plus. * Strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and clinical skills are necessary.
