RMD has an exciting opening for a Contracts Manager/Sr. Contract Negotiatorin the Short and Medium Range Aid Defense (SMGBAD) Business Area. The customers include the Army Contracting Command (ACC) and Defense Logistics Agency with a mix of contract typesand contract vehicles.

We are looking for a Contracts professional that is passionate about relationships and collaboration. The successful candidate will have strong prior US Government Contracting experience. Experience with direct commercial sale transactions is also a plus. The candidate should be capable of working in a collaborative team environment and be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with the customer and internal team. This position requires the ability to work closely with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to achieve business results.

This position can be a Salary Grade G09 (Sr. Contract Negotiator) or G10 (Contracts Manager) based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

This position could be located in Tewsbury, MA or from remote/virtual nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives and comply with company policies

  • Contracts lead for the development of proposals, negotiations, contractual agreements, contract execution, day to day administration

  • Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope

  • Customer interface for contractual matters

  • Drive closure on contractual issues

Required Skills:

  • 6+ [8+ for G10] years applicable business-related work experience

  • Prior experience with US Government contracts

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a clearance.

  • Strong contracting, written and verbal communication and organizational skills

Required Education (including Major): Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business with 6+ years' experience or an advanced degree with 4+ years of experience.
