About this opportunity

We are looking for a Sr. CI Program Manager, evolving our Continuous Improvement efforts across the region and focusing on external and internal improvements for our customers and creating problem-solving community. This position will be responsible for leading customer experience improvement projects, coaching problem-solving tools and supporting improvements in our commercial business units in AE (Americas and Europe) as a critical element of our feedback to action processes. With customers moving to the center of everything we do, this position will influence how we improve services internally for our customers in Americas and Europe (AE) with special focus of improving the multiple billing experiences over time. Providing expertise, technical assistance, consultation, coaching and training to local leadership and front-line staff in application of CI as a business strategy to solve organizational problems. Additionally, this position will use design thinking / Customer journey mapping to improve services we provide for our customers.

This means, this expert will be conducting workshops, implementing lean concepts such as visual management, leader standard work, A3 thinking and daily stand-ups as well as LSS, design thinking and customer journey mapping. The position will be based in Raleigh. This position will report into the Director, CI AE based in Raleigh.

In this role, you will…

  • Leads and effectively manages high level, cross-functional teams through improvement events using a knowledge transfer model.

  • Ensures improvement implementations run smoothly and that gains are sustained through Lean management system, coaching, continual application of design thinking and VOC.

  • Serves as general subject matter expert for projects & project teams. Supports, guides, and coaches the process owners in process improvements. Specifically drive projects to improve billing experiences for our customers by improving processes internally and externally.

  • Ensures existing processes maintain a high level of performance while continuously reviewing and refine those processes to make additional improvements.

  • Ensures the effective fulfillment of objectives and deadlines assigned.

  • Documents and communicates progress. Insights and results from the initiative to all relevant stakeholders

  • Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve and measure departmental and company goals. Takes ownership for all activities within the improvement initiative

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

In this role, you'll need …

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

  • Bachelors in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree or other advanced degree preferred.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 6+ years of relevant continuous improvement or process improvement experience ideally in a mix of manufacturing and transactional role. Preferred experiences in finance, IT and customer facing improvements.

  • Experience in Lean projects and Lean deployment using Lean principles.

  • Experience managing operational teams strongly preferred.

  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen facilitation or Design thinking preferred

SKILLS /COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and in situations requiring instructing, persuading, negotiating, conflict resolution, consulting and advising, as well as flawless written communication.

  • Capable of identifying key deliverables and milestones; to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Design thinking techniques.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft 360 Suite. Ability to create Power-BI report a plus. Ability to use RPA tools a plus.

  • Demonstrate Align Technology values - Accountability, Customer, Agility.

  • Ability to process & interpret data. Applying intermediate statistical concepts and translate analysis into recommendations.

  • Ability to comprehensively map a complex internal process or a customer journey involving stakeholders into the process.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
