As a member of the Mopar Marketing Team, this role is primarily responsible for strategizing, planning and writing content for the Mopar magazine but will also be responsible for strategizing and writing content for additional marketing efforts as needed. Additional marketing efforts will include web, direct mail, email, etc. This role will also be responsible for creating new ideas and strategies to implement on social media with the intent to increase brand awareness, engagement, and followers.
The Mopar Sr. Content Writer & Strategist will work closely with other Mopar Marketing team members when needed and necessary to achieve outlined marketing and overall business goals. He/she will leverage previous marketing experience and knowledge to look at Mopar through a new lens and identify new ways the Mopar brand and its purpose can be showcased further.
Be the sole copy writer and editor for the Mopar Magazine which is a printed 48-page publication that is produced 6 times per year with articles ranging between 10-12 per issue
Actively participate as a member of the Mopar Magazine editorial board to discuss and brainstorm magazine themes, editorial plans/topics and new ideas
Work closely with Mopar Magazine program coordinator to strategize and plan the content for each publication
Develop and create the editorial plan for each publication and work with relevant stakeholders to gain information to write articles
Work closely with the program coordinator and Sr. Graphic Designer to ensure the design is in alignment with the vision and plan for each issue and it is completed on schedule
Interview key constituents for article/copy content
Engage with the legal team to have copy reviewed and edited within the production schedule
Identify specific messages within the magazine and in other marketing efforts where additional social media could be utilized to gain more exposure, engagement, shares, followers, etc.
Write content for other marketing pieces when needed to initiate urgency for consumers to schedule dealer service, purchase accessories, etc.
Work closely with other Mopar marketing team members and Mopar leadership to strategize and determine new marketing methods that increase revenue, as well as create the content needed to complete the project and bring it to market
Work closely with other team members throughout FCA's global organization when necessary
Execute and manage content, and other assigned projects simultaneously and meet deadlines accordingly
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, and/or related field
Minimum of 8 years professional experience in content writing and marketing
Minimum of 3 years project management experience
The ability to work with multiple people and teams throughout FCA's global organization
Executes with a strong work ethic and a "do what it takes" attitude
Excellent verbal and writing skills
Well versed in Microsoft word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Google Suite
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Have a curious mind that thinks creatively to come up with new/different ideas
The capacity to enforce guidelines and processes
