We're looking for an analytical Sr. Content Acquisition Manager to join our team in New York, supporting team members across the US and EU. The position will support global licensing negotiations and strategy, including building complex models to forecast business metrics, evaluating the impacts of negotiated royalty structures and proactively performing analytic deep dives across a variety of key performance indicators.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of work experience in a content acquisition, business analyst, financial, or related analytics-focused role and will be someone with an interest in building direct licensing and negotiation experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Central resource for business analysis across licensing deals and strategy opportunities

  • Perform analysis to quantify the impact of royalty models, and other terms that are negotiated terms with the labels, publishers and collection societies globally

  • Manage relationships with external partners; execute on smaller opportunities independently and support larger opportunities as part of a team

  • Partner with internal Finance/Content Analytics teams to help continuously improve the internal tools, processes and models that are used to evaluate our deal terms across service tiers and territories

  • Audit business metrics, perform deep dive analysis on problems to understand root causes and making decisions based on data

  • Monitor the competitive landscape to help inform Amazon Music's strategic priorities and expansion opportunities

Amazon Music is looking for a results-oriented, hyper-organized Senior Content Manager based in New York, Seattle or Los Angeles to drive the go-to-market strategy for Editorial content across our channels, liaising with content producers, marketing, socials, UX/design, industry-outreach and other internal Amazon Music teams to ensure an impactful rollout for artist- and music-culture-focused content. The Senior Content Manager needs to have a laser focus on the impact of content for both our customers and our artist & industry partners, how to translate that impact into measurable KPI's. Responsibilities include: * Designing team KPI's that accurately measure engagement with editorial content, and owning those goals * Overseeing the rollout of Editorial content * Driving mechanisms to improve internal visibility and relevance of content globally, and work closely with international teams to effectively globalize content * Ensuring the Editorial team's budget is appropriately invested in content that drive high priority goals * Auditing and interating on key distribution channels, defining testing cadences to optimize content distribution * Identifying new content distribution channels * Representing Editorial across Amazon Music and Amazon * 5+ years experience as a program manager, content strategist or similar role with a media, music, production or Internet company * Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams * Self-starter that can operate efficiently within ambiguous situations * Demonstrated competency in cross-cultural communication and program building * Proven ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from creative stakeholders * Experience in the music industry or in the production of music-focused content Amazon is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative Action Employer - Minority/Female/Disability/Vet.
