What you'll do

As a Sr. Consultant - Future Workforce Design, you'll play a critical role in ensuring Principal's end-to-end talent management system is prepared to enable the workforce of the future. Everything from how we recruit, develop, support and retain is designed in a way to support the talent we need to enable our long-term success. You will be the visionary who will help us see how work is changing, and the architect who will help us reshape our talent strategies in response.

How you'll spend your time:

  • Assist HR teams and business leaders in assessing their readiness to drive future of work initiatives within their business units or functions

  • Collaborate with HR partners (recruitment, training and development, performance, compensation etc.) to design programs and processes in line with future workforce demands.

  • Lead all aspects of the execution of end-to-end, integrated talent attraction, development and retention programs which have been designed to facilitate organizational growth within critical areas.

  • Act as a talent expert across the organization, staying current on emerging trends within talent management and talent engagement, sharing standard methodologies and key findings.

  • Gather information (both qualitative and quantitative) in order to advise stakeholders in developing strategic workforce plans that support the organization's current and future workforce requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 8+ years direct experience in consulting, training, or managing in organizational development, organizational behavior, and/or human resources; and/or crafting HR and workforce development solutions.

  • The ideal candidate has experience in consulting with organizational leaders on strategic workforce planning and organizational effectiveness initiatives.

  • The position requires strong communication (oral and written), problem-solving, analytic, and interpersonal skills.

  • Successful candidates will have a proven capability of working (independently and/or within teams) across functional areas in a collaborative environment

Location

While we have a preference for candidates who wish to be located in Des Moines, IA, we are open to considering candidates across the US with heavy travel to Des Moines, IA.
