Role/Department: Data Governance Senior Consultant/HR Workforce Analytics

As the Data Governance Senior Consultant for the team, you will play an important role in supporting the data governance activities that enable our HR department to thrive.

This role will act as a steward of data and ensure the quality and integrity of data across HR systems. This critical dataset enables proper functionality across multiple business processes. As a Data Governance leader, you will develop and enhance data operations and programs to promote, maintain, and ensure data quality, integrity, and continuous improvement efforts.

The role demands an innovative mindset in order to tackle complex challenges, as well as a leader who thrives in an environment that embraces collaboration cross-functionally to scope, plan and execute projects on time. This is an ideal opportunity for professionals with experience in implementing data governance or data quality programs to enter at the "ground floor" and contribute to the future organization.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Build and oversee the global enterprise Data Governance function for HR.

  • Cultivate and embed a strong responsible data use culture across the department.

  • Partner with Privacy, Legal, Risk, and Compliance stakeholders to develop the HR data risk management framework and related policies and processes, ensuring they meet regulatory expectations and are tailored to HR, while also enhancing operational efficiencies

  • Assist in defining the data risk management and responsible use strategy and develop a governance framework that aligns with HR's goals, objectives, and priorities.

  • Establish data risk management policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure responsible use.

  • Build the strategy and framework to deliver a metadata governance capability.

  • Demonstrate proactive thought-leadership by actively keeping up to date on HR industry trends

  • Write documentation including data governance workflows, playbooks, standards, guidelines, taxonomies, operating procedures, and corporate data policies.

Skills/ Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of data management.

  • 5+ years of information systems experience.

  • Strong functional knowledge of HR processes and data usage along the employee lifecycle.

  • Highly analytical and skilled at problem-solving (error detection, root cause analysis, error correction options, recommending best option).

  • Experience working on a data lake and with data engineers.

  • Demonstrates a global mindset and develops approaches that can scale broadly across markets.

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

  • HR systems expertise preferred (e.g., Workday, SAP HCM, etc.).
