Nationwide has an exciting opportunity for a high performing candidate to influence the strategic direction of a Fortune 100 company as a Senior Consultant in Nationwide's Enterprise Corporate Strategy team. This role will specifically help Nationwide's executive leadership team tackle the toughest issues companies are facing today, and provide Board of Director level input on key initiatives underway to transform our company for our next chapter. The ideal candidate will display exceptional analytical, communications, teamwork, and leadership skills, have a breadth of consulting experience and exhibit executive presence, and be able to lead consulting engagements for executives who report directly to the CEO.
JOB SUMMARY: Lead work teams to develop strategy recommendations at the business unit and corporate level.
Influence leaders through the analysis of key markets, competitors, trends and internal capabilities. Candidate must have exceptional analytical, synthesis, communications, teamwork and leadership skills.
Reports to: AVP/VP. May manage up to 3 direct reports.
Formulate problem statements, design work-steams, direct analysts and conduct in-depth research and analysis to develop solutions for business unit and corporate strategy projects
Lead projects and work-streams to produce extensive analysis that resolves business problems. Conduct analysis, synthesize findings and make recommendations.
Develops and directs development of financial and analytical models to create insights into critical situations and operations.
Structures, creates and deliver presentations and memos to communicate perspectives and help drive change. Delivers presentations to leaders and executives
Partner with business leaders, staff and OCS team members to lead and contribute to high-performing teams
Lead work-streams and projects. Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to team members. Organize and conduct meetings
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Advanced degree preferred.
Undergraduate or graduate degree with record of outstanding achievement. Business or quantitative background preferred.
Experience: Significant leadership experience in strategy, marketing or finance at a Fortune 500 or leading consulting firm.
Typically 7 or more years of business or professional experience required. Insurance, financial services or consulting experience a plus.
Knowledge of business, economics, or another quantitative discipline.
Strong computer skills, including Excel and Powerpoint. MS-Access and/or data analytics skills a plus.
