You will lead and work on various construction management projects with the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT).About Us:AtkinsRéalis is one of the world's most respected design, engineering, and project management consultancies.

AtkinsRéalis has the depth and breadth of expertise to respond to the most technically challenging and time-critical infrastructure projects and the urgent transition to a low-carbon economy.About You:In this Sr Project Manager role, you will manage project execution, client relations, and business growth for AtkinsRéalis' transportation business with the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT). You will function as a mentor to project managers and technical professionals to assist in their training and development. You will be responsible for achieving business growth, quality, client satisfaction, and project profitability goals and objectives.

You also perform basic project functions of production coordination, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, financial management and marketing.How your experience will contribute to the team:Possess a background in winning and serving clients on major projects, a sound technical background, excellent communication and organizational skills and thorough knowledge and understanding of Texas details and standards.Leverage existing and develop new TXDOT relationships to identify and pursue business opportunities.Help support other offices within the region to fulfil current project needs while planning the future of our Texas business.Coordinate and participate in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors, and draft very complex professional service agreements, arranging for their review and execution by senior management.Conduct QCAP reviews of less complicated professional services agreements.Direct project team compliance with contract terms, monitor subcontractors' progress, performance, and compliance with contractual commitments; participate in contract dispute resolution and litigation concerning project performance, administration, and other liability issues; review and approve subconsultant and vendor invoices, and resolve payment disputes.Develop, communicate, and manage project quality assurance, administrative procedures, communication guidelines, project deliverable formats and specifications, and progress reporting requirements.Monitor schedules, billings and reports; ensure appropriate charging of manhours, costs and expenses to projects; assist in obtaining payment from clients; resolve client disputes and adjust billing records as required; communicate project progress/status to senior management and alert them of project production, quality control or financial performance problems.Coordinate and participate in project presentations to clients and other external groups, and promote firm's capabilities, marketing its services among existing and prospective clients.Participate in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, and in the preparation of firm's qualification/experience statements.Coordinate communications between internal and external associates and client, and between firm and regulatory agencies. Maintain frequent contact with clients and regulatory agency personnel to determine their respective needs and requirements and serves as expert witness at project hearings and judicial proceedings if necessary.Supervise other project managers, technical professionals and other design staff including managing weekly project workload and manpower forecasting.Conduct project management training workshops and serves as mentor to associate project managers and project managers.Monitor and report financial status of projects to technical managers.Perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.Role RequirementsB.S or M.S. degree in engineering or construction management.15+ years of experience in construction management, CEI, transportation engineering, and urban freeway design.7+ years of experience leading transportation design projects for the Texas Department of Transportation and local and municipal clients.3+ years of business development experiencePE License (TX)Ability to report to project sites on hybrid schedule.Existing TXDOT relationships
