The Sr. Compliance Testing Officer, reporting directly to the Testing and Analytics Manager, will manage and oversee the fulfillment and timely completion of internal compliance related monitoring, reviews, exams, and audits from our bank partners and from federal and state regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate works with a sense of urgency, is detailed oriented, and excels at multitasking. This role also requires highly effective verbal and written communication with various levels of the Best Egg Team, our bank partners, and regulatory bodies.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct, coordinate and manage internal compliance testing reviews including requesting, gathering, advising, reviewing and delivering materials, facilitating meetings, and timely escalating potential issues

• Conduct detailed interviews and walkthroughs with key business leaders to document and evidence compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies

• Stay abreast of business and regulatory changes to ensure materials are relevant and accurate

• Create testing programs to document testing steps

• Develop effective relationships with third party entities that further support Best Egg's strong compliance culture, transparency, and credibility

• Identify findings and communicate Respond in writing or verbally to, and anticipate questions arising from reviews, exams and audits, including explanations of compliance processes

• Draft professional reports to detail testing results and communicate to leadership within Best Egg

• Create data request forms to facilitate the timely retrieval of data for ongoing compliance testing activities

• Maintain repositories of requests made and materials received

• Provide consultative guidance on compliance issues and proposed remediations, and tracking and validation of remediation activity

• Develop testing workpapers adhering to best practices of compliance/audit requirements

• Compile data and reporting in preparation for monthly Compliance Committee meetings

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher

• A minimum of 5 years of experience involving compliance testing or audit or regulatory reviews in financial services

• Working knowledge of lending and consumer protection related regulations, in particular with respect to personal loans and/or credit cards.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Highly effective project management and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, a proven track record of meeting deadlines, and ability to multitask and reprioritize in a fast-paced environment.

• Data analysis skills including working with and vetting out large volumes of data are a plus

$110,000 - $135,000 a year

In addition to semi-monthly salary payments, this position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance. Yearly incentive bonus target 20% of base salary.
