Responsibilities

Locations: This position can reside in any of our System Office - San Francisco, Sacramento, Glendale, Las Vegas or Remote

Position Summary:

The Senior Labor Relations Compensation Analyst applies solid knowledge of compensation and employee labor relations data to provide analytical insight to inform compensation related decisions and programs. They are responsible for producing routine and complex reports for analytical support, ongoing research, wage-modeling and wage analysis for base pay recommendations and labor relations programs.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Provides analytic support for labor relations program management and implementation. Develops, updates, maintains and distributes monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports regarding labor relations modeling, and represented employee data.

  • Supports bargaining activities, including preparatory research, by developing and producing analytics and reports. Builds and tests wage modeling. When required, attends bargaining sessions to assist with compensation/wage grid modeling and creation.

  • Ensures the accuracy of compensation-related data that is maintained within company information systems and databases. Partners with Compensation Dept. for base pay evaluations and provides salary recommendations to ensure internal equity and market alignment of labor relations programs.

  • Maintains databases and templates for reporting and analysis purposes. Responds to inquiries regarding represented salaries, wage grids, modeling and reports. Creates and maintains report procedure documents. Trains users on reports.

QualificationsEducation and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or five (5) years of related job or industry experience in lieu of degree

  • Four (4) years progressive compensation or analytics experience.

Special Skills:

  • Demonstrated basic level proficiency in Excel and HRIS applications using quantitative analysis, charting, pivot tables and formulas. Analytical and problem solving skills.

Additional Qualifications for both levels include: * Requires excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills * Demonstrated customer service skills, time management and organizational skills * Ability to communicate effectively to groups and individuals; be proficient orally and in writing to answer questions, training, directly, and/or working cooperatively with other staff to encourage teamwork and productivity. * Identify, anticipate and solve complex problems, and intervene on behalf of the Plan or a provider to resolve conflicts in a positive manner and to reach an acceptable result. * Ability to work independently and assume responsibility for the completion of special projects in a timely manner. * Experience managing large provider groups and networks is preferred * Health Insurance or managed care experience is preferred * Experience with claims highly preferred. * Overnight travel in CA required (up to 25% travel). * Medi-Cal experience is required. * Requires experience navigating computer applications. * Please note: this position can be filled at the Provider Network Relations Consultant or Consultant Sr. level.
