Reservation Sales is looking for an outstanding communicator with stellar writing, editing and strategic thinking skills to join the Reservation Communications team. We're looking for a self-starter with expertise in creating and shaping messaging that informs and persuades everyone in the division from our leaders to our frontline employees. The person in this position will be a strong collaborate with colleagues and business unit partners to help the division do everything from explain complex business concepts to highlighting key facts and achievements.
This position reports to and works closely with the Manager, Reservation Communications and supports the overall divisional communication, digital and employee engagement strategy.
Strong writing and editing skills are crucial to success in the position. Also must demonstrate skill in working on multiple digital platforms and with varied means of storytelling, including video, infographics and more.
Must possess a high degree of initiative and superior organizational skills, and the ability juggle multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and verbal communications skills are a must. Should be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and front-line employee groups.
Work with members of the Res Communications team to create communications solutions to meet the needs of our various stakeholders
Develop and execute strategic communications plans to support divisional initiatives
Research, analyze and develop written communications to support Delta's policies and procedures
Drives creative storytelling strategies to showcase the divisional initiatives
Acts as strategic communications counsel to divisional leaders to support overall communication strategy, employee engagement, partner relationships and corporate announcements
Coordinate weekly communications reports and publications
Support our digital content strategy (i.e. Deltanet portal, Res portal, SkyHub etc.)
Strong written and verbal communication skills (writing, editing, proofreading, interviewing skills)
Must be self-motivated with strong interpersonal, project management and decision making skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to interact with all levels of leadership and employees
Ability to prioritize work independently
Experience with Axis and other frontline applications is a plus but not required
Experience with more than one line of business is preferred but not required
Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to a diverse working environment
Fluent with MS Office tools (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Ability to build effective working relationships
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Graphic design experience is a plus, but not required
Should consistently demonstrate Delta's brand attributes and lead by example as outlined in Rules of the Road
