The Sr. Commercial Finance Lead is responsible for the analysis of financial status and coordination of agreement to recommended actions. Financial planning and strategy with process Improvement, problem solving, delivery of company revenue to contract terms and understanding of program profitability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Engages with business partners to understand business processes, performance, highlight risks, opportunities in transparent and consultative manner to foster well informed decisions.

  • Collaborate and Influence business partner to understand financial risk and opportunities.

  • Review contract pricing to customers examining the ROS and resources required for the execution of the project. Lead investigations into variation and alignment to understanding and mitigating deviation to standard price model.

  • Responsible for and maintains through performance of monthly actual revenue/forecasting/variance process to provide detailed summary reporting and analysis of results, trends and issues impacting business area and financial reporting. Targets additional areas for continued improvement by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses.

  • Updates costing model annually based on current asset setup and resource requirements.

  • Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommendation of actions to management with plans and/or forecasts.

  • Implement and maintain audit internal controls and policies to comply with legistiation, harmoniization and best practices.

  • Follows controls and serves as lead support for internal and external audits as needed

  • Review external client legal contracts for financial impact and soundness

  • Develops, maintains, and report Financial Program Profitability to the organization.

  • Lead finance reconcilliations of client projects versus internal accounting systems

  • Supports Budgeting and forecasting activities

  • Set up/maintain client projects (SAP and/or Excel)

  • Responsible for and Approve Inter-company sales agreements

  • Finance lead for specific business objectives, as required

  • Adhere to safety requirements.

  • Adhere to all Company training schedules in timely manner

  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications

  • Supports other requests as assigned.

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree (Business or accounting preferred)

  • Strong analytical capabilities, able to process and communicate cause and effect of actions

  • Experience with IFRS and GAAP Revenue Recognition principles and an understanding of basic accounting rules and concepts (focus on ASC 606)

  • Prior experience with SAP S4/Hana and Keyed-In highly preferred

  • Prior experience in forecasting, budgeting and variance analytics highly preferred

  • Ability to be proactive, multi-task and prioritize work assignments with limited supervision

  • Good understanding of program management and biologics drug development market/business preferred CPA Preferred

  • Excellent customer service, presentation, team interation and communication skills (written and verbal) across functional and inter-company boundaries.

  • Able to challenge and influence critical business decisions while developing and maintaining relationships with diverse internal and external business customers.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

  • Team oriented person who has excellent problem solving/ judgment skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy

  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio)

  • Willingness to learn new skills
