Under joint general supervision of the Directors of the (a) Pediatric Mood Imaging and NeuroDevelopment Program (PediMIND) and (b) Developmental Disorders Genetics Research Program (DDGRP) but following established policies and procedures facilitates scientific investigative research in areas related to patient care. Participates in the pre- and post-award administration of research projects.
Manages research related resources. May research literature in the field and also participate in the design and conduct of experimental protocols. May assist in the analysis of research data and preparation of research data for presentation and publication.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for grant and contract pre-award activities including completion of funding agency proposal documents creating detailed budgets to ensure the feasibility of programs to be funded working closely with the principal investigator to gather and maintain all additional materials to be submitted in the proposal packet.
Responsible for the post-award financial oversight and management budgeting traching monthly grant and contract expenditures cost control and analysis forecasting and compliance monitoring.
Responsible for compliance with hospital and university IRB regulation and oversight including working with the team to complete continuing review and other progress reports or preparation of new proposals.
Responsible for coordination of all pre- and post-award materials with Lifespan and Brown offices of research administration (as appropriate).
Responsible for monitoring and completion of time and effort reports.
Maintains current knowledge of sponsor requirements procedures areas of interest and research regulation through active communication with sponsors professional societies and colleagues in reserach administration.
Assist research groups in scheduling resources (including meeting and supplies).
Assist research groups in preparation of manuscripts and/or presentations.
Observes all hospital policies rules regulations and standards.
Bachelor's degree in business administration finance or related area.
Thorough knowledge of software including Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint as well as Adobe acrobat for PDF creation and manipulation. Knowledge of Microsoft access preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients with consideration of aging processes human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
Personal traits including excellent interpersonal skills team player well organized and ability to multi-task and to solve problems creatively.
Two to three years experience working in business environment including research administration.
