UPS Supply Chain Solutions is currently seeking a Sr. CBR to impact the business by mastering import/export regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a Customs Broker License or be currently pursuing a license from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. This position offers on-the-job training in the areas of valuation and free trade agreement reconciliation and various customer specific compliance projects. The Sr. CBR coordinates and carries out all tasks necessary to develop, maintain and maximize established Valuation/Reconciliation functions. The TMA I assists in employee training regarding accounts and projects. He/She provides insight, guidance and other supportive services necessary for Valuation/Reconciliation.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assists with process management

  • Participates in calls with clients for root cause analysis and process improvements

  • Completes importation review for assigned business units

  • Analyzes disbursement data, purchasing records, invoices and shipping documents and completing reconciliation by calculating value adjustments

  • Coordinates daily activities with team members and project supervisor

  • Communicates proactively with customers including educating customers on regulatory procedures

  • Proficient knowledge of US Customs and Border Protection Regulations

JOB SUMMARY As a Senior Trade Analyst, you will be responsible for managing Free Trade Agreements, developing tools and participate in IT system projects regarding trades as well as performing varied trade related functions related to client's scopes of work. Works in conjunction with their direct supervisor, teams, and external parties as necessary to meet and exceed client deliverables. In addition, the Senior Trade Analyst is responsible to accomplish quality system requirements, monitoring documents updates or changes needed; correct root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation, looking for continuous improvement. * Analyze and interpret international trade data and metric results, as required, such as Harmonized Tariff Schedules, regulations, Special Trade Programs for the Automotive Industry. * Work with existing team to ensure all projects and daily workload are being completed and escalated as needed, take actions to support regular operation and /or increases according to contract assigning activities in the best way to face the client needs * Contribute to customer satisfaction through positive interaction with the client, responsiveness to requests, attention to schedules, and high quality work. * Learn and operate various systems in support of client deliverables, as well as identify and use technological tools that improves the team work efficiency * Identify critical issues and risk associated with client account, take actions to solve the situations and/or escalate to management. * Provide outstanding customer service to clients (internal and external) and partners * To keep clear and efficient communication processes within all the teams and service suppliers from client; assuring communication protocols (Meeting on time, objectives, minutes, follow up actions, etc.). * Coordinate written processes and procedures for updates, execution, and distribution. * Senior Trade Desk operates 9:00 A.M. – 5:30 P.M. EST EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2-3 years of trade industry experience with primary knowledge base in Free Trade Agreements and Import requirements, or Bachelor's degree preferred.
