PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Leverage IT technical expertise to create and implement strategic sourcing strategies for one or more categories of IT spend across multiple business units. Drive business value and mitigate risk in procurements through competitive bidding, negotiation of commercial and legal terms, and analysis of data and market trends. Collaborate with suppliers and internal business partners including Legal and business unit leadership to drive efficiencies, reduce risk and manage costs.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
JOB SCOPE
Sourcing activities of one or more categories of technical or complex materials or services. Independent decision making while performing typical job duties. Manage material or service categories within and across business units with consideration of total process life cycle costs, business unit needs, Exelon goals, and risk profiles. Continuous improvement of the Supply organization.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, science or related field with 4-7 years' experience or in lieu of degree, 6-9 years' experience
3-5 years' experience in IT category sourcing (software, hardware, professional services, telecom) and/or IT technical experience in software, hardware, professional services or telecom.
Demonstrated project and change management skills
Demonstrated knowledge of category and supply management concepts.
Adept and persuasive communicator (verbal, written).
Cross functional/organizational team management and facilitation skills (internal and external).
Demonstrated data analysis capability and MS Office applications expertise.
Demonstrated negotiation skills. Ability to hold Suppliers accountable for performance.
Conflict management experience.
Availability for travel across Exelon sites, Supplier locations and business units; as business needs dictate.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated understanding of �entire' Exelon supply chain and cost drivers.
Benefits
Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $96,000-$144,000
