This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of $48,000 - $55,000.

Mathematica currently has an opening for a Sr. Buyer! As a Sr. Buyer, you will be part of our administration team in our Princeton, NJ office location focusing on a range of procurement processes including soliciting, and evaluating proposals, negotiating with suppliers, reviewing contracts, assessing vendor risk, completing price analysis, determining price reasonableness. This opportunity Requires the ability to integrate with other teams and apply procurement knowledge when needed. This candidate will demonstrate proficiency with the procurement software systems and comprehension of procurement processes, procedures, CPSR and compliance guidelines.

Core Responsibilities:
Research market sources and vendors to locate and ensure competitive pricing for the purchase of goods and services
Review and conduct negotiations with suppliers on pricing, proposals, contracts, and statements of work
Solicit, receive, and evaluate proposals and bids; award or recommend the award of contracts and vendor selection
Perform price analysis and determine price reasonableness
Review contracts
Assess vendor risk
Prepare and process purchase orders
Review, prioritize and process purchase requisitions
Review and execute purchase orders, change orders and other documents within delegation of authority; send to vendors with the terms and conditions
Monitor vendor compliance with all terms and conditions of the purchase order
Perform necessary purchasing procedures for the acquisition of goods and services
Provide technical and administrative support relating to purchasing functions
Provide guidance and assist others on the electronic purchasing system process
Resolve questions and issues from users and vendors
Assist with resolving invoice discrepancies with vendors
Actively support the advancement of organizational diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, and apply diversity, equity, and inclusion lens across job responsibilities.
