The Sr. Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for supporting and managing the implementation of assigned system projects. Applies specific knowledge of the business and knowledge of systems technology capabilities to business problem solving. The primary objective is to meet the information needs of the business unit. Responsible for development of business system requirements. Participates in the design and maintenance of complex system projects.
Business technical support for the business systems used by the Operational Risk Management Department.
Act as point of contact for day-to-day system issues, data questions, and report queries.
The analyst will troubleshoot issues and work closely with MUFG Union Bank's Information Technology Group and vendors to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic technology plans.
Provide leadership and manage moderate to complex technical projects and ensure business needs are met.
Ensure the design and integration of proposed system solutions is effective.
Lead project efforts and make independent decisions to arrive at desired results.
Leads, conducts and facilitates meetings.
Develop reports which includes requirements gathering, writing queries, extracting data, and report layout.
Validate data for accuracy and ensure the data accurately represents the intended purpose of the report.
The analyst will also be required to develop a comprehensive knowledge of existing reports and determine the feasibility of new report requests.
In some instances, the analyst will perform data extracts from various bank systems on multiple platforms using established software tools.
Produce ad-hoc reports and perform data analysis based on requests from the business unit.
Identify opportunities to standardize reports and automate on demand requests
Requires 8+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience.
Requires 5+ years of report development.
Experience with Tableau, Business Objects, Cognos or equivalent report writing tool.
Experience with GRC systems is preferred.
Software implementation experience is preferred.
Experience with RSA Archer, OpenPages and/or SharePoint is a plus.
Experience with Operational Risk Management and/or Third-Party Risk Management is a plus.

Strong analytical skills and project management skills.
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
Experience facilitating business requirement discussions.
College degree is preferred
Financial industry experience preferred.
