Sr Business Systems Analyst - Digital Guest Experience

Job Description Summary

Sonesta is seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst with a focus on Digital Guest Experience to join our team. In this role, s/he will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing digital solutions that enhance our guests' experience across various digital platforms. S/he will work closely with cross-functional teams (primarily Marketing, Operations, and eCommerce) to gather requirements, conduct analysis, and drive the delivery of innovative solutions that meet business objectives and delight our guests. We aim to delivery a digital guest experience that is unmatched in the industry.

Job Description

Bridges the Gap Between Business and IT

• Solution Design

• Solicit product and enhancement requirements from business leaders and users

• Utilize Business Systems Analyst tools such as data and process modeling to understand needs and generate solutions

• Translate those insights and solutions into concrete requirements for technology partners to implement

• Define and document system workflows, data flows, user journeys, and technical specifications.

• Work closely with development teams to ensure solutions align with architectural guidelines, coding standards, and best practices.

• Act as a bridge between departments to help technical partners understand business objectives and help management professionals understand technological solutions

• Oversee implementation of projects from inception to completion ensuring value is achieved

Support

• Manages the process to support and maintain existing implementations

• Improve operational procedures to increase productivity

• Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.

• Level 3 support for some systems

• Escalation management

• Vendor management

• Update technical artifacts and inventory

Qualifications

• Superior verbal and written communication skills

• A team player who aggressively drives change with thoughtfulness and quality

• Experience defining and documenting business processes, data flow and system integrations

• Knowledge and experience in data related concepts and tools especially SQL

• Experience in design and implementation of mobile applications and web e-commerce solutions

• Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts and theories for a variety of projects

• Experience working with data privacy laws and regulations

• Hospitality and hotel industry experience is a big plus as is experience implementing guest-focused CRM platforms

Other

• Night and weekend work are occasionally needed for critical support and project deliverables

• Travel requirements are less than 10% but may be occasionally necessary

• Ability to work multiple consecutive hours on a computer

• This position work mostly in an office-type environment

Additional Job Information/Anticipated

Pay Range

Pay Range: $95,000 to $115,000. Base pay offer may vary depending on various factors, including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills and job specific/overall experience
