Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Overview of Position

Change Healthcare is an innovative company, providing industry-leading software and services solutions to both chain and independent pharmacies, is hiring high-energy professionals to contribute to our success. We are looking for experienced Sr. Business Systems Analyst to join the team. The Sr. Business Systems analyst will work as part of the IT staff to assist in developing and implementing solutions that meet operational needs within our organization. Candidates must be interested in working in a fast-paced, evolving, and exciting environment. They must be pro-active self-starters, have excellent problem-solving skills and require minimal supervision. This position will interface directly with executives and customers as well as a wide range of software development experts, so excellent communication and people skills are required.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • The BA is responsible for onboarding new clients from the technical standpoint (Transaction mapping, insurance crosswalk, ETL process set-up).

  • Maintaining existing customers by providing visibility into the business KPIs, inventory trends & processing custom batch processes (account recalls, vendor data extracts etc.).

  • Identifies gaps and provides technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scales new and current systems, processes and procedures in a cost-effective manner.

  • Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems.

  • May provide consultation to users around automated systems

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • 4 years' experience in Project Management/Business Systems Analysis in Healthcare, preferably within Revenue Cycle.

Bachelor's degree in Business preferred or equivalent experience in project management.

  • PMP Certification is preferred; not required.
  • EPIC Certification is preferred; not required.

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • CRCR Certification is a plus.

  • Experience with EPIC, Cerner, Meditech, Connance or other EMR tools is strongly preferred

  • Experience with SQL Server desired

What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?

General office demands, remote work environment.

How much should I expect to travel?

Less than 10% travel involved.

The hiring manager is seeking a technical business analyst with experience and interest in business and data analysis, software requirement writing and software testing, and working in a fast paced environment in various phases of the application development SDLC process. The SDLC process is primarily Agile/Scrum based, and the JIRA tool is used extensively. The position is in the Technology area supporting the Broker Dealer, Risk, and Insurance applications as well as the older IRS application. The position will also involve working on two new replacement system rewrites that are hosted in a vendor cloud computing environment. Besides the business analysis work there, work on the integrations between the vendor and PNC systems (security, user access, data interfaces between applications, PNC controls). Responsibilities will include: * Participate and lead requirement gathering sessions with other analysts, from both the LOB and the Technology areas, and keep track and manage various small LOB demands for changes across a small portfolio of applications. * Evaluate data fields from the various interfacing systems and EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) to ensure accuracy in data mapping and data values. Write (complex at times) SQL DB queries in order to dig deeper into the data values and expected results. * Test, document, and communicate the results from testing and data analysis; and use the HP ALM tool for test cases and results, updating documentation as needed. * Participate in all relevant stages of an application development team's SDLC process and contribute strongly in each phase (though not as a developer). * Develop a strong business and technical understanding of the applications that are hosted on a variety (mostly distributed and cloud hosted) of platforms, and be able to provide support and problem resolution (root cause) as needed. * Work and communicate effectively as part of an Agile crew and through daily stand-ups and assignments for the project, and effectively master the JIRA tool and User stories and tasks.
