Position Overview

As a Senior Analyst of Business Science, you will have the opportunity to develop Analytical processes to support things like the Operational Success of SiteOne's field operations. Given our digital sales growth and the increasing role that digital fulfillment is playing in the marketplace, this role is critical to ensuring we deliver on the customer experience while ensuring disciplined financial performance and capacity management. Reporting to the Manager of Business Intelligence, you will be supported along the way to challenge your partners to drive continued success and to provide them with analytical insights into their performance. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs, but the role will have accountability to delivering the following:

• Digging into opportunities through analysis and building reporting for field leaders across the nation.

• Be a subject matter expert within Power BI, teaching best practices and leading governance to ensure large scale reports meet the needs of operational strategy.

• Guide recommendations on data collection, processes, and opportunities as you engage with operations partners daily.

• Develop new analytics to explain key business drivers, size the fiscal impact of various changes, and influence strategic decisions.

• Project manages the development of a new BI report, ensuring clear requirements, consistent communication, timeline management, and partnership with business stakeholders and within the Engineering Team.

• Part of a larger team with overall responsibilities within Business Intelligence Engineering and Insight delivery.

Skills We Are Seeking

• 4-year college degree with equivalent experience (4+ years) in, Data Analysis, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Finance, and/or Supply Chain Operations

• Strong technical skill set for analytics and data transformation (e.g., SQL Server, Python, R, DAX/Power BI)

• Ability to identify and share a story with facts and data, concisely and meaningfully.

• High degree of financial acumen and comfortable developing multiple scenarios to communicate a risk adjusted range of expected performance.

• Willingness to make recommendations with a progress over perfection mindset.

• Ability to work with all levels of management with an elevated level of autonomy, motivation, and self-direction.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Willingness to establish and nurture connections across the enterprise to build a network of partners and resources.

• Driven with a natural curiosity, ability to listen to partners, ask questions and look within the data for outliers and connections to improve upon existing tools and processes.

• Experience in influencing without authority to facilitate process improvement and streamline workflows
