Job Description:

Office based in Woodland Hills, CA or Santa Ana, CA

Represent Aetna to our contracted providers and focus on executing on national initiatives at local market level through identifying local market Risk Adjustment opportunities to improve accuracy and completeness of captured codes.

Manage and direct local and national vendors around provider and member outreach and engagement.

Conduct data analysis, in conjunction with national tools, to identify opportunity areas and present to key stakeholders.

Provides feedback to providers on accuracy and improvement opportunities relevant to Risk adjustment.

Develops training documents and tools; assures that internal and external stakeholders related to CMS guidelines and Risk

Adjustment best practices.

Engage with clinical team and specific clinics, medical groups, hospitals; attends JOM meetings; Supports and interact with quality engagement managers and RN program managers as needed.

Additional dock-in points needed to manage include MSO, product, sales, network, performance, MEU.

Integrates risk adjustment activities with quality initiatives where possible.

Identifies alternate data sources and facilitates capture through corporate processes

VIEW JOBS 5/1/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-07-30T00:00 Position Purpose: This role resides in the business departments and works closely with department management, assigned compliance liaison, compliance department, change implementation team, business compliance leads in other departments and the segment business performance lead. Responsible for ensuring regulatory changes that affect the department are identified, processes designed and implemented, and create communications and training. Supports and consults with Corporate Compliance and other business units on creating standardized processes and tools for identifying and implementing regulations and auditing and tracking of policies and operating procedures that ensure the incorporation of federal, state and local regulations. * Project manage regulatory changes that affect the department; including issue identification and escalation; design, develop and implement the change, including communication and training; track deliverables and respond to Compliance by required dates. * Request clarification/interpretation on requirements, documents response and communicates to relevant parties. * Ensure development of business-specific policies and procedures; (create/revise, implement, communicate, train, etc); develop process and methodology for documenting operations compliance workflows. * Schedule and conduct self-audits and monitoring; monitor compliance trends. * Develop & track corrective action plans for the department written in response to deficiencies that are identified through internal monitoring/audits or external audits. * Identifies issues, tracks trends for department use and Corporate Compliance. Escalates as required to senior management. * Coordinates department preparation for internal and external audits (building case files, universes, evidence of compliance and other documentation as needed). * Completes all required compliance training. * Consults/Supports the following: * Participate in implementation of regulatory changes that span multiple departments. * Provide support and input into the development and maintenance of a consistent process for identification and escalation of issues and supporting tools; may participate in the implementation of a tool(s) for maintenance of mapping requirements/regulations to policies and procedures (P&Ps) and owners (i.e. CFR owners). * Participate in developing and maintaining consistent processes/methods for development, implementation, communication and training on new/updated policies and procedures. * Participate with Business Units/departments with an end-to-end process orientation to ensure appropriate connectivity and handoffs are built into P&Ps that span multiple departments. * Provide support to ensure compliance of FDRs and delegated providers/groups. * Work with department leaders to identify and develop key controls and compliance monitoring and surveillance activities. * Work with department leaders and Compliance Department and Compliance liaisons to monitor processes and ensure quality. * Participate with department leadership and Compliance Department and Compliance liaisons in development, monitoring and reporting of compliance metrics and overall performance dashboard; work with Compliance Department liaisons to validate compliance metrics are appropriate/sufficient from a compliance perspective. * Participates in and supports other programs such as privacy and security (including HIPAA program), Ethics & Privacy, Fraud Waste & Abuse, Code of Conduct, etc Education/Experience: * * BA degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field. * Five to ten years experience in progressively broad and challenging roles in a given operational area. * Prior experience in a compliance-related role highly desirable. * 3 years Compliance or Regulatory experience highly preferred. * Medi-Cal experience highly preferred.
