This position will be in the Human Resources organizational unit within Southern California Edison and will report to the Senior Manager, Workforce Insights. The Workforce Insights team delivers strategic workforce planning, human capital analytics & research, company goals reporting, predictive analytics and HR budget planning.
The successful candidate should have an equal passion for data, research & storytelling. This role will oversee the project management of at least two major HR analytics research projects per year. It will also own the creation of a yearly workforce insights presentation to Edison Sr. Leadership. Research projects will entail the creation of initial research questions, presentation of ideas to HR Sr. Leadership, hypothesis testing, deep dive analytics, supporting statistical and survey-based analysis and the creation of findings in a thoughtful and well-planned research story. Projects will include ongoing check-ins with HR management and will include the support of other analysts on the team. The candidate will ultimately be responsible for the final research deliverables.
The right candidate for this role must be a self-starter who can create a project plan, manage others without authority and receive the feedback necessary to deliver best in class business research & analysis. Curiosity and the ability to look at data from all angles is essential and strong Excel, PowerPoint & visual storytelling skills are a must. Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, I/O Psychology or related field.
Must have 5 years of experience analyzing data, performing research analysis, hypothesis testing, developing presentations and presenting findings to senior management.
MBA or other Master's Degree
Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
Project Management Training or Certification
Excellent communication skills with clients, senior managers and executives
Self-starter with ability to work in a team environment
Strong problem-solving ability with a high attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and complete work within allocated time frames
