Opportunity
Responsible for the operational systems and industrial applications, auto gate system (AGS), terminal TOS, WhereNet, Kalmar suite of Systems, and integrations with Operational Technology (OT) and automation equipment. Responsible for management, ownership and support. Works closely with the terminal IT Applications head to build the IT systems, managing vendors and control the IT costs. Actively collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve efficiency by adopting new IT capabilities.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Overall responsibilities are the following:
Ownership, design, implementation and management of terminal operational systems and industrial applications, Auto Gate, WhereNet, industrial equipment and automation integrations.
Researches and analyzes integration technologies, architecture, design, conduct analysis, prepares recommendations and facilitates efficiency enhancements.
Develops business requirement documents and specifications.
Supports the review and understand integrations design and process requirements to develop software functional specifications for optimization/continuous improvement projects.
Ensure proper application lifecycle and version management by following up every software release into production environment while acting as hyper care support.
Works as directed by management team to manage, resolve, research and document business issues involving workflow procedures and processes.
Coordinate troubleshooting calls for Incidents Priority 1 to 4 acting as the incident manager when an issue is presented at the Waterside application level.
Analyze data and work with management to develop IT application and solutions.
Works closely with the terminal operational and functional team to identify and implement improvements to business operations, services and models.
Ensure proper integration of vendor engineering solutions into the overall terminal engineering documentation.
Ensure SLAs are met on a daily basis. KPI based measurement of work & performance.
Collaborate with the regional platform & workstreams to identify opportunities to modernize, streamline and standardize the terminal tech portfolio.
Participates in the development of root cause for major incidents impacting the terminal, ensure identified countermeasures are deployed as planned.

CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Necessary to perform the requirements of the position:
Operational Technology hardware and integration experience is preferred.
Skills - the following are strongly recommended for applicants/critical:
Detailed understanding of terminal Auto Gate system, WhereNet & Kalmar automation, and Operational applications.
Understanding of terminal TOS, SPARCS N4, N4 based integrations.
Detailed understanding of automation, automation interfaces to exchange data and messaging between systems.
Understanding of messaging frameworks, application stacks.
Experience with industrial automation equipment, firmware and embedded applications.
Good understanding of messaging integration, integration between TOS, Auto Gate, terminal OCR and automation equipment.
Understanding of Continuous Improvement/LEAN/Six Sigma.
Collaboration
Experience with applying WOW (Lean) standards and tooling

Pay Range:
$160,000 to $180,000
