Job Summary

The Sr. Business Analyst is a position that, as part of the Financial Operations team, will provide input to McKesson's agreements with manufacturers and ensure compliance with manufacturer policies and agreements. Primary responsibilities include analyzing policies and historical returns data to ensure McKesson and McKesson's customers have a beneficial returns policy. To accomplish this, the Sr. Business Analyst will engage with manufacturers and internal stakeholders to explain McKesson's methodology and strategy for returns. The Sr. Business Analyst will deepen McKesson's understanding of returns policies and manufacturer relationships related to product returns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review manufacturer distribution agreements; provide edits that ensure a fair and balanced process to avoid unnecessary cost burdens and unfavorable risks to McKesson.

  • Research supplier exception items to determine validity and provide appropriate support to substantiate McKesson's position

  • Proactively work with suppliers to ensure compliance with agreements, specifically returned goods policies, and notification timelines and requirements. Responsible for the escalation of compliance issues.

  • Responsible for maintaining and updating returns policy grid(s) internally and with our RDs; interpreting and operationalizing contractual language.

  • Address and resolve manufacturer dispute claims through in-depth data analysis of data presented and internal data extraction. Conduct analysis independently to include seeking knowledge in areas not previously identified or known. Research all components of dispute claims to minimize loss to McKesson.

  • Identify and initiate process improvement projects based on root cause analysis. Implement process solutions, which will enable the operations teams to function more efficiently and effectively.

  • Identify, calculate, and articulate financial impacts and process changes incurred as a result of contract changes.

  • Collaborate with internal partners to resolve complex issues that cross department, business unit, or corporate boundaries.

  • Provide training to team members to develop and expand their returns reconciliation and analysis skills.

  • Proactively identify key manufacturer issues with returns.

Critical Skills

  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in analyzing very large and complex datasets

  • Intermediate level on Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Must be able to work independently and take full accountability

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to leverage McKesson's internal resources or publicly available information to solve problems

  • Strong relationship building and communication skills

  • Excellent organization and communication

  • Strong prioritization skills

  • Project management and researching skills

  • Six Sigma process improvement experience strongly preferred (Green Belt training)

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$71,200 - $118,600
