We're currently looking for a Sr. Business Analyst to join our team in Franklin, TN

This role will be responsible for serving as technology leader role for Electric Vehicle and Connected Car systems within Nissan Digital.

Job functions Include but are not limited to:

  • The IS Senior Analyst is a technology leader role that is responsible for leading the work team's investigation of processes, technology, cost, and strategy while identifying options for improving and bridging the needs of the business with the use of Information Systems and Technology. An IS Senior Analyst is responsible for leading the team's analysis of and approving the documentation of Information Systems needs of clients to help identify problems and propose solutions.

  • The IS Analyst role is to liaise with the internal business departments and the providers of services to the enterprise, as well as potentially guide/manage other analysts in this capacity.

  • The IS Analyst must understand, interpret, and suggest resolution to technical systematic issues and communicate these issues effectively to management and peers.

  • The IS Senior Analyst scope of analysis includes all functions within several domains, including cross-functional and cross-regional and global business functions. (Electric Vehicle and Connected Car focused)

  • As necessary, perform any other relevant duties across different functional areas across regionally and globally to aid in the success of the organization.

  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.

Qualifications:

  • The IS Senior Analyst plays a vital role in the systems and business development process. Qualified analysts must possess all the following skills listed below: analytical, technical, managerial, and interpersonal.

  • Analytical skills to understand the organization and its functions, which helps them to identify opportunities and to analyze and solve problems.

  • Lead efforts using agile skills to quickly drive concepts from requirements to market delivery.

  • Familiarity with various programming languages, operating systems, and platforms

  • Management skills to manage projects, resources, risk, and change.

  • Communication skills to collaborate and influence Business Users, Programmers, and other IT/IS Teams and Professionals. Strong ability to lead efforts to interpret complex business requirements and drive technical solutions, while negotiating conflict and building consensus. Possess effective communication skill to Directors (IS & business).

  • Must be flexible and possess the ability to adapt to changing priorities and flexible workday. May be required off work schedule to meet deliverables or respond to on-call urgent inquiries

  • Ability to lead the teams' efforts to establish deliverables and detail customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders and service providers to establish the deliverables for the service providers, using requirement-gathering techniques (e.g., planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups).

  • Lead the improvement of the team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, mentoring, training, and motivating to facilitate cooperation, ensure efficiency, and boost morale.

  • Mastery of the following skills:

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis.

  • Utilize your experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required.

  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

  • Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.

  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document), Use Cases, GUI, Screen, and Interface designs, develop, monitor, and conduct application testing)

  • Work autonomously to set priorities for the team and resolve issues across business functions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. This includes the ability to create presentations that present complex stories in ways that can be easily understood by IS and business leadership.

  • Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.

  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.

  • Successfully lead multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Drive, challenge, and influence business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.

  • Ability to interpret business logic and identify points of failure based on source code and/or error logs as part of production support for business functions within scope of expertise.

  • Ability to analyze application failures and conduct root cause analysis to provide permanent resolution to incidents.

  • Resolve conflicts in approach, solution or outcomes with teams, suppliers, or customers

  • Act as a liaison between vendors and the organization they represent. Executing new contracts, perform vendor selection. They may be responsible for developing cost analysis, functional analysis, design considerations, and implementation timelines. They may also be responsible for feasibility studies of a computer system before making recommendations to senior management.

  • Perform functional and process gap analysis across business units and regions

  • Work with Solution Architects to create a regional technology roadmap to reduce redundancy and RTB costs.

  • Work with Operations as needed to determine root cause of repeated problems and define potential system improvements

  • Possess an understanding of the following technologies (depending on the area to be supported):

  • Knowledge of Client Server technologies

  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies is a plus

  • Possess proficiency in the following: · Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access) · Microsoft Windows operating system

  • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies like Agile and Kaizen is mandatory

  • Hands on experience on Project Management tools like JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project Plan is must

  • Hands-on experience in Agile projects is mandatory.

  • Responsible for preparing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for all business initiatives and projects.

  • Prepare detailed Business Process flows and prepare Business process mapping

  • Own and conduct RFI (Request for Information) / RFP (Request for proposal) sessions end to end.

  • In-depth experience with specific system(s) in area of expertise Connected Car Systems, Electric Vehicle (e-Mobility Platform)

  • Experience supporting multiple cross-functional business areas
