Job Description:

Applies technical knowledge in determining end to end design requirements for large projects involving line of business, software/hardware developers and vendors. Work closely with business partners to define strategies for technical solutions, determine requirements, and develop functional designs based on the analysis of line of business needs, objectives and existing systems infrastructure. Drives and participates in design, development and implementation of large and complex enterprise wide applications, often using new technologies. Work closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs. May manage projects including responsibility for a project and project budget. Works under minimal supervision on enterprise wide projects requiring creative solutions. IT degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience. Typically requires a minimum of 5-7 years of applicable experience. Responsibilities:

Highly experienced Sr. Business Analyst with extensive analytical, business experience and strong SQL skills. Candidate will work directly with line of business stakeholders to define scenario requirements and facilitate risk analysis discussions as appropriate, where AML risks are not clearly understood. Ensure that scenario requirements, solutions and related documentation are in line with technical standards of the program. Work with scenario sponsors in defining, documenting and managing the functional requirements for scenario development. Support scenario sponsors in the assessment of new scenario proposals. Successful candidate will have extensive domain knowledge in AML Compliance and a deep working knowledge of Global Markets and securities products traded on the BAML platforms. Candidate should have knowledge or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge and develop expertise of the Global Financial Crimes Compliance & Operational Risk technology architecture. Candidate will work in a cross-functional environment, as part of an agile team and will require an understanding of both business and technical processes.

Required Skills:

  • 7 plus years of relevant hands-on experience (operational analysis, business analysis, requirements gathering, etc.) in a technology organization

  • Knowledge and experience in implementation of projects working in the Agile (SDLC) methodology

  • Ability to facilitate stakeholder meetings, to effectively gather requirements and create clear documentation of Functional, and Non-Functional Business Requirements

  • Past experience working with developers and testers ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into user acceptance criteria on JIRA stories

  • Strong interpersonal skills, motivated, self-starter with the ability to work with business and technology partners

  • Able to gather and interpret data requirements, research and analysis, business design, data mapping, partnering with technology to develop data sourcing and transaction monitoring solutions

  • Ability to access data and perform independent research into data problems, analyzing the data, determining root cause, and proposing solutions

  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Strong SQL, Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor in Computer Science or related field

  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS) certified preferred

  • Broker Dealer experience with the ability to demonstrate a broad knowledge of traded products in BAML globally

  • Prior experience with AML automated scenario development and model creation

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Must be able to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, and Excel, as well as web-based database programs and the Internet.
