Amazon is looking for a unique leader to raise the bar for insights into cross-site retail shopping events. We need an individual with the curious mind, customer obsession, analytical horsepower, and business judgement to inform these large and high-visibility customer touch points.
It is an opportunity to lead efforts across Amazon to define our understanding of customers as they shop on events like Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Back to School. This is a well-rounded business analyst role that will lead business analyses across all phases of these events including planning, execution, and retrospectives. You will be both the central touch point for many contributing teams as well as owning communication of results up to leadership and out across the company. In addition, you will lead Event team requirements and prioritization in central insights teams to affect larger scale investments in core analytical capabilities.
This is an individual contributor role that will be a critical member of cross-functional event teams. It has high visibility and requires understanding and partnership with many retail, program, and finance teams across Amazon.
A successful candidate will be able to understand the large, ambiguous business problems the Events team is working to solve on behalf of customers, and suggest and then deliver the business insights to prioritize investments and understand results. This will require excellent written and oral communication skills, data-driven deep dives, strong business judgment, deep curiosity about how Amazon's businesses work, and a passion for customers. S/he must enjoy context-switching and operating at all levels of the organization to both influence and ultimately deliver insights needed. This role will partner with event-specific business and retail teams to identify opportunities and deliver solutions.
