Job Description

Elavon (Elavon is a part of the U.S.

Bank family) is seeking the position of Sr. Business Analyst

  • BI (Mergers and Acquisitions). Telecommuting available from anywhere in US. HQ at 800 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55402.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Sr. Business Analyst

  • BI (Mergers and Acquisitions) utilizes knowledge of the full life cycle for delivering Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions. This role analyzes business process requirements and generates BI reports with a focus on Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) initiatives related to customer and merchant migrations to different technologies across Elavon.

    Specific duties include: (1) design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and implement BI reports, queries, and data; (2) communicate trends to the EPMO team and stakeholders via BI reports and dashboards; (3) recommend solutions for identifying the impacted customers, marketing communications to impacted customers and help generate more revenue opportunities; (4) manage a team of developers and may also supervise other support staff members along with serving as the liaison for end users and technology team; (5) responsible for the comprehensive efforts related to the design, implementation, and operation of BI data analysis systems; (6) analyze all aspects of merger and acquisition processes from start to finish and working. with senior management to ensure that all the key performance indicators for the acquired company are successfully mapped & tracked; (7) work with SQL and its variation among popular databases, optimize large, complicated SQL statements, and work with relational databases; (8) develop visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop. Run DAX queries and functions in Power BI; (9) manage tasks and work output to deliver high-functioning reports and visualizations in tools including WebFocus and Tableau; (10) work in advanced Microsoft Excel features including use of Pivots tables, writing macros, visualization, and Microsoft Power Point to articulate present findings to Senior Leadership; (11) Working on migrations of customers from various platforms including (a) Data Center Migration (Relocation); (b) Cloud Migration; and (c) migration of technologies including Payment Tokenization, Payment Encryption from one vendor to another.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience working on project delivery for financial institutions.

Required Skills/Experience:

Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) analyzing all aspects of merger and acquisition processes from start to finish and working. with senior management to ensure that all the key performance indicators for the acquired company are successfully mapped & tracked; (2) working with SQL and its variation among popular databases, optimizing large, complicated SQL statements, and working with relational databases; (3) developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $129,147 - 171,000.
