Position: Automation Tester
Location: Melbourne, FL
Duration: 6 Months Contract

Looking only for 10 or 10+ years profile.

Job Description:
Understand the Acceptance Criteria of the User stories
Devise test scenarios and document the test cases in a test management tool like Rally or ALM.
Apply various testing types and methodologies effectively during SDLC
Execute test procedures and provide for each Sprint a Test Report or update in client Defect Reporting tool, in a client provided format, detailing tests conducted, with Pass/Fail status, issues and exceptions encountered, with details of steps to reproduce any changes needed to test procedures
Create and author test cases. Test Automate both Front End and Back end tests. Automate the Data creation process if required. Execute tests and verify test results for any Pass/Fail and take appropriate actions for correcting the results with addition/modification of existing tests or add new tests
Create defects and collaborate with development team in fixing defects
Collaborate with client Test Lead/Product Owner in creating test plans
Implement and configure testing tools
Implement system-level integration testing

Core Expertise:
Extensive experience in test automation using industry standard automation tools like HP QTP, Ranorex. Good programming skills on C#, Java, C++, Java Script in a SAFe/Agile environment
Working knowledge of CI/CD to support continuous automation and deployment process with basic knowledge of Linux/Unix scripting is required
Experience with issue-tracking and agile project management tools such as Rally, Confluence, HP ALM etc.
Experience working with virtual machines (VMs) as part of a test/integration infrastructure
Ability to takes ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver while helping team members
Prepare Reusable functions, which improve the robustness, re-usability, and maintainability of the test scripts
Develop and executes maintainable automation tests for acceptance, integration, end-to-end, functional, and regression test cases
Sprints and software releases will follow a GE provided project schedule
Provide attendance at team meetings, investigation of system problems to assure timely release of software to the production system. Supplier Test Engineers should be willing to work flexible hours if required to support any business needs. Test Engineers will ensure that they attend all Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning and PI Planning Increments, all currently scheduled in US times.
The supplier test engineer will take directions from the client Test Lead/Product Owner of the System Integration Team
The test engineer should have good experience in executing automation test scripts independently
The engineer will work with the client and other Supplier testers, test lead and developers to meet these goals.
