Job Title

Sr. Automated Production Operator

As a Sr. Material Production Operator, you will perform a variety of advanced tasks associated with the production of high quality ceramic powders using equipment that transforms raw materials into finished goods. You will act as a 'go to' person and be a subject matter expert in the area.

Position Information:

• Graveyard Shift - Eligible for a $2.50 hourly shift differential.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Follow work orders to determine quantity, specifications, and special instructions in the preparation of advanced material processing (AMP) material and report any deviation to appropriate leaders.

• Load and unload both wet and dry ball mills.

• Weigh materials needed for processing.

• Load and unload kilns.

• Add binders and additives to slurry tanks as part of the materials processing process.

• Blend and delivers proprietary AMP material formulations to meet customer specifications.

• Operate, monitor, and adjust spray dryers and perform quality control testing.

• Clean spray dryers to defined requirements.

• Material handling by utilizing appropriate equipment including scales, hand tracks, pallet jacks, and forklifts following all required safety procedures.

• Use manufacturing computer system to accurately record production data and other necessary transactions.

• May be trained in one or more specialty areas (solids recovery, CDL licensed driver, etc.)

• May provide training to other team members.

• Participate on Continuous Improvement Teams (CIP) teams.

• Periodically manage the production floor as "go-to" person.

• Must follow all safety procedures and provide feedback for safety improvements.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• Three (3) or more years of manufacturing work experience.

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions.

• Basic math and computer skills.

• Basic time management skills.

• Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Position Specific Responsibilities (Required):

• Confined space, fall protection, and LOTO required for this position.

• Forklift operation required.

• Proficient in intermediate SPC data entry and interpretation.

Position Specific Physical Requirements (Required):

• The ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Ability to work from ladders when performing tasks.

• Must be able to work in a cold or hot work environment.

• May be exposed to a dusty work environment.

Target Hiring Range

Hourly: USD 22.17 - USD 28.08
