General Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior AV Engineer to oversee the management and enhancement of our sophisticated audiovisual systems, which include components from industry leaders like QSC, Crestron, Shure, and Dante. This candidate should possess the expertise that ensures the ability to design, implement, and manage advanced systems that meet the demands of modern organizations.
Responsibilities
Design, configure, and manage advanced AV systems integrated with QSC, Crestron, Shure, and Dante components.
Lead AV installation projects, ensuring seamless integration with our existing IT and AV infrastructure.
Conduct detailed site surveys and prepare system documentation, including schematics and workflows.
Troubleshoot complex AV issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining high standards of audio and visual quality.
Provide expert guidance and training to staff on the operation of AV systems to enhance organizational communications and event delivery.
Evaluate new AV technologies and make recommendations for system enhancements to support the organization's mission.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring cost-effective procurement and high-quality service delivery.
Ensure all AV projects and operations comply with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
At least 5 years of professional experience in AV system design, with a strong focus on Q-SYS, Crestron, Shure, and Dante technologies.
Proven ability to lead and manage large-scale AV installation and maintenance projects.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong technical proficiency in troubleshooting AV systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
Familiarity with AV industry standards and certifications such as AVIXA, CTS, or CTS-D highly regarded.
Proficiency in specifying major manufacturers of professional AV equipment including, but not limited to: Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, Logitech, Cisco, Poly, Creston, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Barco, Planar, and Legrand.
Deep knowledge of designing and implementing complex AV systems using industry-leading hardware and software.
Proficiency with AV over IP solutions and networked audio systems, such as Audinate Dante.
Strong operational and troubleshooting skills in systems such as QSC, Crestron, Shure, Dante, and additional platforms like Zoom, Cisco Webex, Polycom RealPresence, and Microsoft Teams Rooms for video conferencing.
Understanding of network configurations that support AV systems, including knowledge of IP networking and associated data security measures.
Skilled in software used for design, configuration, and simulation of AV systems, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and manufacturer-specific software like Crestron Studio or Q-SYS Designer.
Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with AV equipment and software, ensuring minimal system downtime.
Mastery of current industry standards set by organizations such as AVIXA, ANSI, and IEEE, ensuring compliance in all technical activities and system installations.
Knowledge of sustainable practices and energy-efficient technologies in AV design, aligning with organizational sustainability goals.
Proficiency in managing projects from conception through completion, including budget management and scheduling.
Ability to produce clear and comprehensive system diagrams, operation manuals, and maintenance guides.
Preferred Certifications

CTS-I (Certified Technology Specialist
