Job Summary:

You will be responsible for sourcing and recruiting the very best talent to join this great company. This role demands a target driven individual who excels under pressure and can create strategic partnerships with hiring managers across our enterprise. You will be responsible for managing the full life cycle recruiting process for assigned groups within our organization.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to create dynamic job descriptions and understand the skills and abilities required for the roles

  • Facilitate the identification and selection of world-class diverse talent using multiple sourcing methods and make candidate recommendations to hiring managers

  • Partner effectively with HR partners when working compensation offers, compliance, onboarding and other processes

  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify, pipeline and source qualified candidates.

  • Provide complete, accurate, timely and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position to ensure world-class candidate experience.

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Collins Aerospace, your business unit and the aerospace industry

  • Drive the recruitment process by setting clear expectations and delivering on commitments with a sense of urgency to the business as well as internal and external candidates

  • Ensure that recruiting and hiring practices are compliant with all applicable local, state, and federal employment laws and OFCCP / EEOC guidelines

  • Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements.

  • Real-time applicant tracking system data management

  • Assist in the scheduling and logistics of interviews between candidates and hiring managers as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and two years of prior relevant experience or 5 years of equivalent experience

  • Prior experience with full life cycle recruiting

  • Must be able to manage competing demands while being adaptable and flexible in a rapidly changing environment

  • Experience qualifying and cultivating passive candidates

  • Ability to quickly and efficiently develop relationships with candidates and hiring managers

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

  • Strong sense of urgency

  • Critical thinking skills

  • Ability to work independently with strong time management skills

  • Must be savvy with technology and applicant tracking systems

Role Overview Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Engineer who will work with component engineering and program technical office in support of fire & lighting safety certification. The successful individual conduct qualification tests, investigates performance variables, and compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics. Liaises with engineers in other areas to work on necessary design changes. Reviews work of less-experienced engineers in reliability testing and analysis. Primary Responsibilities: * Support regular meetings with the Program and Program Technical office to understand status and open issues * Develop means of compliance for fire/lighting safety certification based on analysis, test, similarity for nacelle components * Achieve technical agreement with customer on fire/lighting MOC for certification for nacelle components * Generate and review fire/lightning certification documents including test plans, test reports, similarity reports & supplier documents for nacelle components * Support fire/lightning certification testing in house and at external facilities * Support internal and external component design reviews for nacelle components * Ensure incorporation of critical features of production design into fire/lightning test configurations * Support determination of test requirements / conditions based on internal & external data sources Qualifications Education: * Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR * Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR * In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required Basic Qualifications: * Knowledge of FAR/EASA regulations for fire safety or lightning safety. * Working knowledge of aircraft certification process particularly fire & lighting certification * Experience working directly with TC holder or regulatory authorities to create fire/lightning certification plans and reports * Proven ability to create safety justification based on requirements, testing and analysis including similarity analysis and equivalent level of safety (ELOS). * Detail oriented and thorough * Strong customer skills and customer focus (both internal and external customers) * Strong analytical skills. * Ability to work independently. * Ability to multi-task and prioritize both daily issues and long- term projects. * 100 percent dedicated to following all safety procedures and precautions. * Excellent interpersonal skills. * Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to present Fire or Lightning information to customers * Experience troubleshooting/problem-solving Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with aircraft powerplant/engine components including nacelles from a design and/or validation perspective.
