SUMMARY:
Individual will process payroll, prepare tax reporting, filing and payment responsibilities; prepare and provide budget information for compensation related accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process the bi-weekly Home Office and Field payrolls
Process the monthly Pension payroll
Prepare and pay the weekly/monthly/quarterly payroll and policyholder tax deposits and filings
Prepare and process monthly journal entries and reconciliations
Assist in the development of the annual budget for taxes and compensation related accounts;
Assist in providing support to auditors (CPA, IRS, 401k, LLC, Worker's Comp, MIA etc.)
Serve as back up as necessary for others in the department
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma required
Bachelors' Degree in business or accounting related major preferred
2 - 4 yrs experience with employment withholding tax preparation and general ledger reconciliations required
2 - 4 yrs payroll processing experience required
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Accurate data entry skills
Strong attention to detail and follow through a must
Proficient using Microsoft Office and email applications , most importantly Excel
Microsoft Access experience a plus; payroll/tax reporting knowledge a plus
ADP WorkForce Now or similar payroll software experience required
