Work with a team of analysts to review loan portfolios of various types and complexities to determine adherence to sound credit underwriting practices and applicable policies and regulations. Each analyst of the team works independently on a sample of credits selected for review, followed by working with other team members to identify global findings from all sampled loans. Each analyst also serves as a consultant for credit, policy, and regulations.
1.Analyze credit decisions, risk rating accuracy and timeliness, repayment ability, adequacy of covenant usage and ongoing monitoring, and adherence to loan related policies, procedures, legal requirements, and regulations.
2.Serve as a consultant to Loan Review analysts, lenders, and bank support staff, and communicate significant issues to applicable managers.
3.Evaluate risks, review operational practices, and react to feedback received from Loan Review internal customers in order to best utilize the department's resources. Support the department's productivity goals in terms of the number of credit relationships reviewed, while appropriately balancing this goal with the need to effectively communicate Loan Review findings and fully analyze problematic situations.
4.Manage reviews of loan portfolios of various types; this involves developing a strategy and action plan and following up with team members throughout the review. Coordinate the preparation of asset review reports when serving as the reviewer-in-charge of asset reviews and assist in preparing reports when not serving as reviewer-in-charge. Assess progress on action plans to determine resolution of previously identified business issues
5.Develop, communicate, and pursue achievement of actionable goals and objectives that are consistent with the company's and the department's goals and objectives. Support the department's ongoing goal of simplifying reporting to focus on critical areas of credit risk.
6.Keep abreast of relevant industry issues and trends through outside reading and external training. Communicate significant issues that could impact FNN Credit Policy and/or Strategic Initiatives to the Vice President-Director of Loan Review.
7.Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships within both the Loan Review department and the lending units; promote operational changes to improve internal and external customers' experience whenever practical.
8.Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. Complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls as required. Report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations. Report any suspicious customer and/or account activity. Take appropriate actions that result in Satisfactory ratings for regulatory reviews and internal audits of functions within your span of control.
1.Five or more years of loan review, commercial lending, regulatory examination, or equivalent experience.
2.Understanding of commercial, real estate, and agriculture lending / underwriting concepts, practices, procedures, documentation, legal requirements, and regulations.
3.Strong analytical skills, excellent verbal/written communication skills, and good interpersonal and time management abilities.
