Job Description:
Position is for a Sr. Associate Engineer, Project and Component Engineering for the development, fabrication and test of propulsion systems combustion devices hardware.
Essential Functions:
Development and production fabrication support of Combustion Devices rocket engine components (injectors, thrust chambers, nozzles). Disposition nonconformances and engineering change requests.
Test support for combustion devices components
Supplier integration with external vendors
Assesses and verifies product design and performance for technical adequacy and reliability. Supports investigation and resolution of hardware and process anomalies and issues identified by preventative action/corrective action boards or safety initiative activities.
Develops trade studies, design concepts, systems integration and component-level test plans.
Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related engineering/scientific discipline and 2 years of propulsion and project engineering experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
This position requires knowledge and experience with rocket engine combustion devices hardware design and development, manufacturing processes, and supplier integration. Tasks include hardware production support, project management of hardware design, development and manufacturing deliveries. Hardware includes injectors, combustion chambers, and nozzles.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $77,500 - $143,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
