The Senior Art Director, Digital Marketing is accountable for setting the creative vision for social (paid and organic), display, and video (external and web). A skilled multi-tasker and inspiring creative leader, the Senior Art Director is responsible for leading designers to create social channels and marketing promotions that drive engagement and conversion while inspiring our customers. Provides ongoing direction to advance the creative point of view of the brand.

  • Responsible for the creative direction and execution of digital marketing campaigns including social, display and video to drive new customer acquisition.

  • Deepen customer engagement and conversion by driving the creation of innovative and engaging experiences across digital channels.

  • Understand technologies and creative approaches to develop creative assets that are most effective in each medium.

  • Bring innovative thinking and lead digital marketing campaigns from inception to launch.

  • Develop video campaigns, including concepting, storyboarding, and art directing.

  • Mentor 4-5 person design team by providing feedback, coaching and mentoring.

  • Collaborate with internal and external project teams, including web/e-commerce and other channel creative leads, to support multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.

  • Create and maintain consistent, high level visual design patterns, standards and specifications.

  • Participate in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position

  • Ensure design solutions are customer focused, intuitive and flawlessly executed;

  • Collaborates with key internal partners to establish goals, elevate the look and feel of our social channels and marketing experiences.

  • Review designs and channels daily to ensure consistency and standards in execution.

  • Work with analytics teams to understand what is working and not working, and pivot creative direction as appropriate.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day art direction of their team and hands-on execution for key marketing initiatives.

  • Continually initiates ideas to enhance the brand experience, improve conversion and drive sales.

  • Manage multiple projects, deadlines and deliverables

  • Creates an inspired, high-performing and fully-engaged team by providing visionary ideas, insightful feedback and clear, consistent direction.

  • Fosters team member development, effective and timely performance assessments and productive workflow processes.

  • Aligns with multiple business stakeholders across ecomm, marketing and creative.

  • Collaborates with key partners to develop creative concepts/assignments, development and execution of creative campaigns, adapting for device as required; has the ability to lead or perform this function as part of a cross-channel team or independently as needed.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required, BFA in Graphic Design or UX a plus

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience; 2+ years previous experience designing user interfaces for large-scale websites and/or apps. 5+ years previous experience as a designer.

  • Proven ability to work in a team environment.

  • Experience mentoring and leading creative teams.

  • Understanding of relevant software, Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc...) and Apple computer operating system required.

  • Familiarity with the retail industry a plus

  • Exceptional formal design skills: typography, composition, color, layout, etc., able to mentor team members in these skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop concepts and deliver creative execution against strategic briefs.

  • Strong understanding of retail marketing and ecommerce strategies and best practices.

  • Strong communication skills, including ability to present ideas and work with a clear rationale; Ability to appropriately adjust communication (verbal and written) and presentation style and content to the audience.

  • Proactive problem solving skills.

  • Strong collaboration skills, promoting a sense of teamwork by working effectively, respectfully and efficiently with all associates.

  • Demonstrates strong team partnership and leadership potential through strong personal leadership skills and leading by example

Purpose & Scope: The Head of Commercial Strategy & Planning has global leadership responsibility in below areas, directly supporting CCO and collaborating with senior leaders in 5 commercial divisions (CDs: US, Japan, Established, International and Greater-China) and global commercial functions (Strategic Brand Marketing/SBM, Market Access and Pricing/MAx and Commercial Strategy and Capabilities/CS&C): * Lead develop and implement of global commercial strategy and priorities to maximize value of in-line and pipeline assets. * Manage global commercial governance and major business processes for CCO to realize increased agility in making directions and decisions (CCO-office). * Strengthen effectiveness of commercial operating model, through simplifying business processes, reducing duplication of accountability, enhancing functional capabilities, and implementing change management and initiatives. * Promote changes through effective employee engagement Communications in assist of CCO and global commercial functions. * Lead planning and facilitation of cross commercial organization matters representing point of commercial contact.
