Sr Architect, Oracle Fusion, Critical Care

As our Senior Architect, Oracle Fusion, within Critical Care, you will establish and maintain enterprise and/or domain level architecture through the stages of planning, design, execution, and operations.

The Sr Oracle Fusion Application Architect is responsible for providing broad and deep architecture standards for Oracle Fusion applications ecosystem. The role involves compiling and implementing application design and development plans for multiple functional modules, guiding the application development team, providing leadership in integrations and configuration management, and acting as a functional expert in the Cloud applications area.

The Architect develops and implements the standards and practices necessary to realize and sustain Oracle Cloud applications stack in accordance with established architectural plans and designs. In addition, the Architect provides expert consultation to inform strategic technology and system decisions as well as tactical decisions related to projects, including web servers, app servers, performance tuning, backup/recovery and high availability of application clusters. With that, the overarching goal of the Architect is to cultivate a ecosystem that is scalable, extensible, interoperable, adaptable to the business, and aligned with the strategic goals and objectives of the organization.

• Lead the evaluation of new technology targeted for possible integration into the existing IT environment

• Translate business requirements into system qualities that lead to repeatable and executable design strategies and patterns for tactical projects / initiatives in collaboration with project teams

• Develop, institute, and maintain the design and metadata repository for integrating all aspects of established architectural models

• Identify and define the opportunities for integration, selecting the tools, specifying the shared data & code resources, defining the interfaces and data-flows, and monitoring the success of the integration for tactical projects / initiatives

• Provide oversight to ensure compliance with architectural standards and practices through all aspects of planning, execution, and operation

• Develop, institute, and maintain the design and metadata repository for integrating all aspects of established architectural models

• Survey external emerging developments, and evangelize new technologies, standards and methodologies

• Provide expert guidance on tactical projects/initiatives

• Provide training, coaching and knowledge transfer to team members on more complex tasks

• Lead efforts to design, engineer and optimize business processes, data and systems by assessing business needs and developing, proposing and implementing technology solution options

• Integrate ERP solution with other existing internal business systems and software applications

• General and administrative tasks

What you'll need (Required):

• Bachelor's Degree in in related field, 10 years experience of experience in IT Required

• 2 years experience of demonstrably solid performance in an architect role working with cross-functional teams (within IT and/or within the business) on enterprise-level or complex/novel system implementations

• 2 years experience of relevant industry experience (e.g. medical device, pharmaceuticals, etc.) or in highly regulated environments

What else we look for (Preferred):

• Substantial technical knowledge with expertise in Oracle Fusion

• 3+ years of experience as a functional architect supporting all modules of Oracle Fusion applications (Enterprise Resource Planning, Supply Chain Planning & Manufacturing, Financials, Service modules, Product Lifecycle Management, Marketing, Sales, etc.)

• 3 + years of experience in ERP Architecture and strategy within a complex, matrixed and global business environment

• Excellent support knowledge of key application modules in an ERP system

• Implementing and maintaining SDLC policies, standards, processes, procedures, methodologies, lifecycles, and training other junior resources such as architects and business systems analysts

• Certifications in related disciplines and architecture frameworks

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

• Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives and communicate to various levels of audience or to explain complex or technical matters in a manner suitable for non-technical audiences

• Expert knowledge in at least discipline (e.g. Analysis, Design, Development, QA/QC, etc.)

• Expert in developing detailed architecture models, design, executable plans and documentation

• Expertise in conducting RFPs, vendor assessments, and contract reviews

• Broad and deep technical knowledge - expertise in multiple aspects including hardware, software, applications, and systems engineering and QA/testing

• Knowledge of financial modeling and planning as it pertains to IT investment

• Knowledge of best practices related to IT governance, operations, and administration

• Strict attention to detail

• Recognized as an expert in own area within the organization

• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

For California, the base pay range for this position is $133,000 to $187,000 (highly experienced).
