The Sr. Android Developer will apply technical expertise to manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables and will be responsible to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the development of quality code for multiple ESPN apps and will define coding standards and development best practices. The Software engineer owns the technical implementation of projects and is expected to provide, training, guidance, and mentorship to other members of the team. This role is expected to guide decisions on technical strategy, architecture, best practices, tools, and utilities.

This is a hands-on engineering position that requires expert level proficiency in Java, Android SDK, device capabilities, and Android OS variations. The Android Software Engineer will architect reusable solutions that are shared across all ESPN apps. The ideal candidate is passionate about Java, Android, technology, apps, and sports.

The position will be focused on leading the development and implementation of the regional strategy for Location Based Entertainment. Due to the commercial opportunity, complicated nature of deals, significant deal size and work required to manage the deals from start (sourcing, pitching, contracts) to end (review, approval, oversight) a strong business leader is required for this regional position. North America Location Based Entertainment (LBE) Business Development * Develop and execute a long-term, regional strategic plan for themed entertainment licensing across all sub-categories in coordination with the VP, Location Based Entertainment. * Lead and partner with Global LBE team to research, analyze industry trends and source high-value, top-tier regional opportunities across all LBE categories; and develop and create presentations to industry leading potential partners for themed entertainment projects. * Work directly with design groups, consultants, legal professionals, operators and other industry leaders in order to remain up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape and emerging categories/markets to further the success of Hasbro brands in themed entertainment environments. * Run multi-level due diligence on potential partners to confirm quality and experience of the potential licensee. * Negotiate and close licenses across all location-based entertainment categories (large scale theme parks and attractions, FECs, water parks, live shows, exhibits, etc.) working closely with key stakeholders (Consumer Products leadership, Finance, Legal, Global Brand Teams, Risk Management and senior management) to maximize deal terms and financial results. * Serve as principal liaison with LBE licensees (new and existing) from the time deal is executed until end of term of the license; handle production and communication between Hasbro and licensee * Partner with Global Project Management to manage attraction development during all phases (concept to construction) to ensure quality control and brand integrity. * Drive cross-divisional regional marketing efforts between Hasbro divisions and LBE licensees. * Enforce compliance of worldwide theme park licensees and themed attractions through evaluation reports and regular meetings and visits. * Ensure that all licensees are held to the highest level of health & safety standards Other * Meet annual targets for regional budget, in coordination with regional and global counterparts * Liaise with Legal and Finance on all license deals, ensuring deal terms are clear and aligned with corporate Legal and Finance principles and practices. * Evaluate market activities, assess implications, identify and deliver against brand and category priorities Qualifications * Minimum B.A or relevant degree, MBA Preferred * Ability to travel (up to 30%) Experience * Proven experience within International Licensing and Location Based Entertainment for a toy/game, entertainment, attraction design or consultant firm coupled with demonstrable hands-on experience in negotiating licensing deals and deal terms.
