The Senior Consultant role, located in our HQ in Downtown Cincinnati, is a multi-faceted position in our Decision Sciences Department with contributions taking many forms:

What you'll do: (There is no shortage of variety here!)

  • Support client research projects by providing consultation on research design and by applying expertise using a wide range of analytical techniques.

  • Oversee the analytical portion of client work projects by extracting insights from analyses and crafting strategic business implications, leveraging principles of storytelling in client reports, and by leading results presentations and action planning workshops.

  • Support new business development by contributing to the advancement of Burke's products and services and by engaging in sales opportunities with the Sales team through proposals and participation in sales presentations.

  • Work with multiple clients and types of research, constantly growing your skills in new areas.

  • Foster continuous improvement of analytical and general research skills within the company by serving as a lead trainer in technical training sessions and by leading staff on analysis and reporting activities.

What you'll need:

  • The successful candidate will have a Master's degree (Marketing or MBA, Quantitative Analysis, Business Analytics, Psychology, or similar) and at least 7 years of related experience.

  • Expertise in data analysis, having applied many of the following techniques: statistical significance testing, multivariate analysis techniques such as factor analysis and cluster/segmentation analysis, conjoint and discrete choice analysis, and various types of regression analysis.

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with an eye for creativity to bring compelling insights to life with data visualization.

  • Adaptable interpersonal communication skills critical for working with staff, teams, and clients in a professional services environment.

  • Strong process management and organization skills necessary to move department and corporate initiatives forward, as well as to support staff alignment to department work flow.

  • Leadership experience and passion for staff mentoring and development; this position does not directly manage others

Potential candidates should have: * 'Hands-on' experience in assessing, designing, and deploying network infrastructure in environments including process automation, discrete controls, and automated manufacturing processes / equipment. * Experience in designing and deploying network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.) within an Industrial Network * Understanding of various industry standards including ISA, ANSI, NEMA, NERC, IDC, NEC and NIST standards. Specific focus on NIST 800-82, NERC-CIP, IEC-62443 Standards would be an added benefit * Experience in PLC, Networking and SCADA design/programming including data extraction and data analysis. * Solid technical skills with various Ethernet protocols including EtherNet/IP, specifically around assessment, design and implementation of complex systems. * Strong communication skills and commercial skills, ability to handle multiple projects / interactions, and ability to interact with various global teams, clients and vendors including those in international regions. * Familiarity with a variety of networking and / or security concepts, practices, and procedures, to include manufacturing and enterprise network convergence, network protocols, communication optimization, application effects on system performance and human exploitation techniques on the manufacturing network. * Experience in developing and deploying solutions in a virtual environment. * Design, implement and support key global customers' converged business and manufacturing/industrial networks and user needs in parallel with their overall business strategies. * Write detailed documentation that could include customer requirements, system specifications, observed issues with remediation recommendations or implementation plans in order to develop or modify manufacturing infrastructure. * Design, recommend, and implement network infrastructure and associated configuration changes. * Design customer secure manufacturing architectures and provide vision, problem anticipation, and problem solving ability to customers.
